  1. Interesting read... took me 3 days on and off... but no consensus? It seems there are a few contenders but from what I read the race seems too close to call? Benchmark Lavry Channel Islands Stello Apogee At this level would it be safe to assume that synergy, rather than performance, makes the choice? Thanks for going to all the trouble compiling this. USG
  2. Ditto again.... love those empty sockets....
  3. I completely agree with you. Once the novelty wears off....
  4. Hi Boo Just a question. Will it play when the battery is dead if you plug it in? USG
  5. When you need a to move the Amp...
  6. I forgot about firewire 800....... if you have it......
  7. USB 2.0 is 480 Mbps and FireWire is 400 Mbps but with a better throughput, how fast is your LAN speed? are you 10-100 Mbps or 10-1000 Mbps? USG
  8. well don't keep them to yourself.... what do you like?

  10. I'm in the plasma camp for the same reasons, but I have a 42 Samsung in my bedroom.... I've seen the 42 Panasonic, it's better.
  11. Here's a few links I found..... http://www.worldlux.com/cgi-bin/navigate.cgi?brand=MALA&model=Masterpiece%20Skeleton&dept=WATCH&collect=Masterpiece&filter= http://www.abouttime.com/abouttime/mauricelacroixmens.invtc.html about half way down the page http://www.prestigetime.com/item.php?item_id=5155
  12. Hey Dusty I had a look at the site you linked to.... an interesting and appealing watch.... but it looks like neither the movement nor the numbers are actually black, but instead are covered by a black glass... if you look at the date window, the date appears as a black number on a white background and if you look carefully you can also see part of the number 2 peaking through, also black number on a white background, but at the same time you can see the rest of the numbers are black on black and since the back of the watch shows a silver colored movement, my guess is the front of the movement is silver, the date wheel is white with black numbers, all covered by black glass and above that, silver hands and hour markers.... ) unless I'm looking at the wrong watch.... 13. Hey Philodox It seems that's all that's left.... but it's optical out of the computer.... USG
  14. Could it be Cesar's Portaphile Maxx that you are referring to? edit: I didn't see your other post..... Well, since you brought it up, where is the crap then ?

  16. LOL Hi Nanoha, you mean AMB's M^3, the one that Stephen made?
  17. 880s and 650s... this is a difficult medium to converse in, but could you explain what you mean when you say it's not great with 650s? USG
  18. LOL, you calling KG's design crap?
  19. Hi Boo I'm sorry to have to disagree. Maybe Thrice's tweaks made all the difference in the world, but my experience with the heed was the opposite of yours. I found it to be an over priced, over hyped, mediocre amp, that was not in the same league as my Woo3 or my M^3. I got it right before this meet and sold it right after, to another NYer who quickly sold it as being only"10 days old." IMHO the Heed was extremely disappointing. Sorry USG
  20. I can't see the picture of the skeleton, but here's another.....
  21. You're probably right, it's a shame. USG
