  1. Used mini starquad to recable mine in the past. The HD650 cable would probably be your best bet. I don't know about the 580 cable but the 650 is enameled. I used a solder pot to reterminate mine with a 4 pin xlr. If you need help I can do it if you send me the cable.
  2. I tried this website http://oshpark.com/ I'll email them to see if they can use it
  3. oh no, a board outline file can't be found. help
  4. The stand on our LG in my son's room has a little plate covering a screw hole. I just sunk a wood screw in that hole so the TV was boled to the stand. May nat be an option for you but maybe you could drill a hole in the back
  5. That was going to be my other choice. I was going to use two of AMB's boards
  6. You are the man!!! anybody know of a good board house I can have a small run done at?
  7. Do I connect it to chassis ground? or ground on the amp board?
  8. Yeah I know... I really want a gold point in there but I just want to get sound out of it at this point. Plus I just blew my wad on a set of SR200's
  9. Yeah, that looks perfect. When hooked up where do I connect the ground?
  10. yes, hole size is 1.2mm based on the diagram here http://www.ebay.com/itm/260964413265?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  11. Thanks Kevin, that would be cool. screw terminals on the output would be nice. I'd do a small board run for that.
  12. that's what I was going to do at first. I'll get the pot first and see if I have anything that fits
  13. I'm thinking about using the 4 gang ALPS pot for my dynahi. I want to mount it on a pcb but I don't see any available so I thought if I took two epsilon 27 boards I could make one. The first board would fit the front, the second board looks like it would need the front trimmed off to fit the back section. The grounds are tied together on those boards so I'm not sure how that comes into play since I've never wired a pot for balanced audio before. How do you wire a volume pot for balanced audio and do you think this would work?
  14. cool thanks
  15. I'm looking to give my headphone cables a more professional look like this http://redsecta.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/650cable.jpg I want to find splitters like this guy used
  16. That's what I thought. Thanks
  17. So I don't make mistakes in my latest build I was wondering what is reccomended most. Should I twist the AC power leads on a torroid being used in a DAC? Should I twist the DC power hookup wire that will go from the PSU to the DAC board? I'm assuming I should always twist the signal wires...
  18. Hmmm.... sounds like I'll continue with my original plan of using a goldpoint
  19. Now yer talkin
  20. Thanks, good to know. They're on sale at pcx and I thought I might give one a try but i don't really feel like resoldering all those joints
  21. Has anyone used a Khozmo Attenuator? They look extremely well built. I wonder how it sounds compared to a goldpoint or a dact
  22. Anyone have have one of these made at your local Mc D's?
  23. Leif Garrett... how the hell did this thread drum that image up. He'd sell the headphones for some blow
  24. I do get the sense this is how he feels sometimes. I try to ignore things like this as long as I get what I'm after
