  1. No argument from me about that. I find the 4.3 inch screen of the galaxy s2 to be pretty much ideal for my hand size. It is so thin that it doesn't feel too bulky in your pocket and the screen is big enough that I don't have to do excessive zooming for most websites. I could maybe do a 4.5 inch screen, but 5.3 is just too big for a phone I think.
  2. I think that's mostly because it takes the other phones so long to get the new version of android officially that the Nexus phones always have a huge software advantage.
  3. Hardware is actually a little underwhelming IMO. I'm hoping the guys over at XDA get ICS ported to galaxy s2 in short order so I can ditch gingerbread
  4. I am willing to purchase 100 of the ebay pins and distribute them to people in the US if necessary
  5. Nice stax of jacks . Do you happen to have a picture of the adapter pcb in action? I would like to have a visual of how it functions. Although it seems they are cheap enough that I should probably just buy a couple to try out...
  6. What is the function of the adapter pcb? It looks like it solders directly to the pins on the connector and allows you to use a screw terminal strip to run the wires from the adapter pcb to your amp output, is that correct? Edit: Love the sig deepak. Awesome show
  7. Agreed. The number of people bitching about the price is overwhelming, and some are even treating it as a personal affront it seems like. If you don't want to pay that much don't buy it, it's as simple as that.
  8. Got my boards today. Big thanks to Deepak for handling the US distribution, Lil Knight for organizing the board run, and of course Kevin Gilmore and everyone else involved with the design. Now the fun part starts
  9. Is the the cable going into the cups were the issue usually occurs or on the plug end?
  10. Looks nice Vortex. Did you need to make any changes to the lcduino to work with KG's attenuators?
  11. Awesome review. I guess the SR009 really is that good. I enjoyed the video at the end - that is a ridiculously nice collection of equipment you have there right now.
  12. I usually heatshrink a bare connector. I have yet to find a pre insulated type that allows the insulation to move around. If you use 2 sizes you can usually get it so you can still connect and disconnect freely.
  13. They must not have had too many because they are all gone already.
  14. Just picked one up, would you mind posting some tips on how to use it if it is not straightforward?
  15. Thanks guys that is good to know. Now I just wish I had bought more of them, I wasn't expecting them to be so hard to come by.
  16. Hmmm I think the k216 I got from bdent may be fakes... If Inu is correct about the date codes the ones I have use a date code of M, which would be that new month after december when we switch to a lunar calendar. Here is a picture:
  17. bdent still has stock of 2sj79 but they are stupidly expensive... 8.82 each
  18. I'd be interested in the group buy as well
  19. ^ Basically you have time on the x axis, frequency on the y axis, and magnitude on the z. You can look at a particular time and frequency to see the magnitude of the reponse at that time and frequency. You could also slice the plot at a given time to see frequency response magnitude across the audio spectrum. On the 2d plots the z axis is gone and colors represent the magnitude of the response.
  20. I have never tried to run Octave on anything but Ubuntu but I never had a problem there. Another option that I have started getting into has been using the scipy and numpy packages for python. I will have to give scilab a try when I get a chance.
  21. Neat work arnaud. In case anyone is interested, Octave is another free program that is similar to matlab, and will actually run many .m files that were written for matlab directly as long as it doesn't use stuff from fancy toolboxes.
  22. Awesome! Lil Knight should we go ahead and resend the payment?
