Got a bunch of new stuff I need to listen to, but can't shake the classic rock/pop records today. Steve Winwood "back in the High life" Steely Dan "AJA" Cars "Heartbeat City" Dire Straits "Communique" All original pressings and all sound pretty darn good.

Thats great to hear! I havent listened to it yet, the shop owner suggested it. I think my two favorites so far have been Hank Mobley ROLL CALL, and Art Blakey THE BIG BEAT.

He emailed me trying to push some of his products on me over something (he doesnt sell) I had asked about on Agon. I said no thanks and then he emailed about how most of the recommendations I had got in the thread were no good and he could hook me up with much better. Anyway I called him out on it in the thread and he emailed me letting me know to shop somewhere else. Which i had planned already. Maybe we both caught him on the same day. Maybe its because I was going to get something from Audio revelation, I think they are mortal audio enemies. been really enjoying the records, hope i didnt get to off the wall with the CDs i sent.

I'm pretty sure i got the same email a year or so ago, and I have no problem granting his wishes.

I dont see him as getting into any kind of stupid trouble, or bailing out for another school. But as soon as he's up to coaching again, schools will be showing up with big truckloads of cash to get him.

Wow! Guess hes been having health issues for awhile and he's leaving Florida after there bowl game new years day.

I owned the HP2 and did a brief comparison with HP1. I thought they sound the same. The only difference i could find in looks were the polarity switches on the HP1s. This was over a short listening period though so maybe longer sessions could bring out some small details in sound i missed.
