Singlepower- --claims to run on 3 "D" cell batteries, but when you open it up has 1 "AAA" Ray Samuels model---- takes six months of constant use before it can satisfy. Headroom--- 2" cut off the top due to bad economy Gilmore---refuses to be inserted into anything thats not designed in house

The Mikhail model would get her soooo close to satisfied............. and then break and or shrink.

Penguins dominated most of the first period with sloppy play by the Caps, but came out down on the score. End of first period Penguins started playing sloppy, continued through 3/4 of the second period but tied it up. Both goalies played pretty good. Neither team looked very good to me. Lots of turn overs.

I hope so. he emailed me and told me he would be here with the PSU and fix the amp on monday. I emailed back and asked what monday? he has not replyed to that question yet.

There is some talk about them on Audiogon. Most say they are very good. Small and used with a sub at CES.

Who knows? the first tubes were a pr. of Bendix 6900. One worked, one didnt. the other was shipped back and Mikhail sent another. it didnt work either. they were both sent back and Mikhail sent 7044s and a couple 5687s. kevin didnt need the 5687s and the 7044 were no good. they all went back. Nowadays he is 99.9% unreliable.

I dont know if selling tubes will get him out of this. he seems to have the same customer service, and quality control with the tube sales as with his amps. i sent a friend to him for tubes (quite awhile back) and they came but did not work. he sent them back and Mikhail sent another batch, same thing. Kevin sent them back again and Mikhail would not repay him. Kevin filed with the CC company and Mikhail tells the CC that he never got the tubes back. then emailed Kevin and said he would pay back 4 of the 5 hundred. Kevin took what he could get and was happy to get anything. IMO, anyone that deals with Mikahil should only use a CC. Also dont use that until you see the package has been shipped. Keep all conversations via email and dont let Mikhail talk you into to many time delays because it makes it harder to get the CC companies to work for you.

He said he would fly out here and fix my amp when the new PSU was done. that was supposed to be this week. He then changed his story, said I should send the amp section to him (because its all screwed up) and he wopuld fix it with the PSU. he says its done but there is not a doubt in my mind hes telling me another lie. i told him I am not paying for the shipping and would prefer him to come out here. he said he would send me an account number for shipping, which I never got. So here i sit....with an amp section that doesnt work. A 6-7 year old POS PSU that doesnt even go to my amp, and probably doesnt even belong to Mikhail in the first place. I found out it sold with the amp for 500.00 six years ago. The owner sent it to Mikhail to a couple years ago to see if it could be matched to anything he had since he lost the original amp section but had not gotten it back. now i have it. I dont believe he is coming out here. I dont think he even built me another PSU. I dont think if I ship mine back it will get fixed. I do think Mikhail is either going under, or is already there. I hope things work out good for every one else, But YES i have given up on anything positive ever coming from my purchase.

Well he wont send my money to me, says he doesnt have it to send. When you think about it most of the amps hes behind on he got paid for A LONG TIME AGO. I also doubt (cant prove) that he has had much new work coming in over the last year. So almost all his work he is doing (either repairs or catch up) is being done on money that has long been used.

This is probably because he is dead broke and cant even afford to do the shipping. I think hes feeding you a line of BS about an accounts person. I hope your amp gets there in good condition............but whats that saying about history repeating itself? At least you can take it to another tech and get work done. I dont have the power supply mine came with the first time, and the amp has not worked in quite awhile.

I think hes broke. We will be lucky to get whatever we get. My amp is having problems already. I am either going to fly out there or have him come here, and I guess i will have to stand over his shoulder until every thing is done to my satisfaction. Mikhail says he will cover my airfare either way we do it. i am not holding my breath on that one.
