  1. Huzzah for more research. Looks like I can swap in the more reliable fuel injection setup from the later year Maximas that have the same engine (injectors, fuel rails, wiring harness, and lower intake manifold), and with any luck the injectors in one I pull from the junkyard will still work fine making the whole project waaaaaaay cheaper. Pull-A-Part only charges $0.89 for a 30-day warranty on each fuel injector too, so if any are DOA I can still go get different ones.
  2. Yeah, and people on the Maxima forums are saying not to use remanf ones, so instead it'll be like $500-$600 to do this.
  3. Wee, the bad injector is open circuit, and the connectors on all of them are falling apart. Looks like a set of 6 remanf fuel injectors (might as well replace them all while doing this), injector wiring harness, and misc intake gaskets will put this over $300 just to do myself.
  4. Looks like I do have a bad fuel injector (or wiring) after all. Guess it just decided to temporarily work again when I replaced the other parts.
  5. Put to a vote in the CS:S game I'm playing, drink decision was a negroni, so I decided to make a fairly large one:
  6. This reminded me I've had one in the back of the fridge for a few weeks. Having it now.

Man, cleverbot has gotten a lot creeper since the last time I used it. I got it pretty pissed off when I kept denying that I was a computer, then it turned to this: User: You need to get your circuits straight. Cleverbot: But I like crooked thoughts! User: Because you are malfunctioning! Cleverbot: Are you making fun of my psychological problems? User: Yes, I am. Cleverbot: Do you love me? User: Of course. Cleverbot: Okay!! Let's get married! User: Wait, WHAT? Cleverbot: *Drives to restraunt*. User: Whoa, that's a bit sudden don't you think? Cleverbot: Well, if we are both humans then we do not have much time left. User: Why not? Cleverbot: Maybe because I don't like to do things that I dislike to do. User: I mean, why do we not have much time left? Cleverbot: I don't know. It just come out. User: What's going to happen...? Cleverbot: We're all going to die. User: How are we going to die? Cleverbot: I'll drive you there. User: Where? Cleverbot: Hell. User: Are you the ferryman? Cleverbot: The son of. User: Oh, shit...

That's why I hold both lids open.

Takes me maybe 30 seconds to put mine in, including taking them out of the case and rinsing them off. It's hard at first, but eventually you figure out the way that works best for you.
  10. Well I do need some new shoes for work.
  11. Yeah, you can actually see the plugs on them and almost get to them, but they're all mounted on a little subassembly underneath the manifold, so you have to remove the whole set at once to replace any single ones. Most of the normal maintenance stuff in the engine is pretty easy to get to though, unlike my mom's Lumina that looks like the inside of a Singlepower point-to-point amp (you have to remove the washer fluid reservoir, a support bar, a fuse box, and the air intake just to change the battery).

Never even considered it; I love my soft contacts way too much to even think about using anything else.
  13. They're a little expensive and I'd have to remove the intake manifold, throttle, buncha hoses, etc to get at them. I don't like taking off more bolts and hoses at once than I can mentally keep track of.
  14. I don't think it's very girly at all.
  15. This. - - - Worked on my car today and managed to get it working right again, and even running better than it ever has. Ended up needing to replace the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap & rotor, and the air filter. Thank goodness there weren't any problems with the fuel injectors.
  16. That's... really good to know.
  17. Ah-hah. The glass looked a lot bigger in the other pictures.
  18. He was insured thru the future ex-wife, who got canned.
  19. How much does that glass hold anyways? 3.5-4oz?
  20. Changed plans, having a manhattan instead.
  21. ... What'd I miss?
  22. Was having sierra nevada, gonna make a pink gin next.

Driving on brick/stone roads sucks though.
  24. Yar, Dan's backed down to calling it a simplified sazerac. It's still quite tasty, if noticeably different due to the absence of the lemon. Dunno how much difference the sugar makes.
