I know they claim to be the same dimensions, but I swear the darker booty looks bootier.

Buy whatever tickles your bits. If you don't like it, sell it. If you do like it, sell it on a whim and then make another post like this.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
I posted some months back seeking people's opinions about selling my DX outfit for micro 4/3's gear. I've ended up with an Olympus OMD em5 and most of the fast primes. So far, no regrets. Some shots from Saturday's charity zombie walk. All with the Olympus 45 f1.8 from memory:- The Headcase Stax thread
I followed the thread. I was a bit overwhelmed.- The Headcase Stax thread
My chances for auditions are nil. I'm wanting to improve my office rig. I'm using quite old Lambdas and a newish pair of SR-303's. I'm currently running a T1 of unknown age and background. I'm tossing up between putting new tubes and caps in the T1, or building a KGSS (I have the boards). In terms of DIY, I'm very much a paint-by-numbers type of builder. I've managed an M^3, Crack etc in the past. All prior builds had clear and full instructions. FWIW, my home rig consists of 007 and BHSE.- And now what did you do TODAY?
Wound up work today early. Packed to go on leave for 5 days to Ubud, Bali tomorrow morning. Came home to find a parcel - my first headphone purchase in 3 years: Stax SR-303. I'll either look for a pair of Sigmas to mod and use them for that or to replace my ageing Lambdas in my office. Just about to mix me an Mrs Expanding our first martini for the night. I'll listen to the 303's after that. Perfect day!!- The analog thread.
Thanks everyone.- The analog thread.
Thanks for all your suggestions. I got this photo from the net: The screw I broke is one of two you can see protruding from the half of the motor casing on the left. I'm pretty sure it is a custom part. Hopefully I'll score one form somewhere, or pick up a broke motor for parts.- Kitty Talk

My restoration of a Garrard 401 has hit a hurdle. I pulled apart the motor to clean it and lubricate it. When reassembling it, I snapped one of the two screws that hold the two parts of the motor casing together. Any suggestions as to where I can source a new one? It looks like a custom built part.- Shave-Case: The official HC hair removal thread.
One of these vintage Gillette adjustable safety razors has been my daily shave for years: I have the same Merkel as above, and find the Gillette to give the better shave. My favourite brush for using soaps (rather than creams) is this: http://vintagescent.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=99- And now what did you do TODAY?
Postman delivered a new lense - Olympus 60mm macro for micro 4/3. Messed around with it today, all hand held:- The Headcase Stax thread

I did not know that. I should have down loaded the manual, thanks.- The analog thread.
I'm putting together a Garrard 401 and SME3009. After patiently waiting for some time, I picked up a precut plinth to suit both the table and the tonearm. It looks fairly obvious to me that I need something to raise the height of the tonearm. This is how it currently looks: This is trying to show the relative heights of the tonearm to the platter: Any suggestions as to suitable products? From the top photo, you will see that any platform or spacer placed between the tonearm mounting base and the plinth will have to pretty much line up with the oval-shaped mounting base of the tonearm. There is very little wriggle room between the raised edge of the plinth and the turntable.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
I'm looking at getting a macro lens for my D7000. I want it to double as a portrait lens, and be FX compatible for future proofing. I have my eye on the Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro. Any thoughts?- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
It took a lot of will power to talk myself out of buying a 105 DC earlier this week. You're not helping. Are you using a dx or full frame body?- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Thanks to everyone who responded to my query a couple of pages back about the merits of selling my DX outfit to go micro 4/3. I took the Olympus EP-3 and a panasonic 14-140 zoom out to the zoo yesterday. This was the very first shot I took:- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
So Leica do product placements? Interesting.- The Official Head-Case Photography Thread.
Anybody had much experience with a micro 4/3 set up? I recently picked up an Olympus ep3 for a very good price. It's early days but so far I'm really impressed with the image quality and operation of the camera. I'm also attracted by the portability of this system if I pick up a good set of primes. Its got me thinking of selling my Nikon DX system. Anybody been down this route? - A chance to start over
