So not all is lost. We might just need a SW Boston beer get-together.

In speaking with an audiologist, after you mature, and to some extent when close to maturity, it's actually weight gain that has the greatest impact on your ear canals. Perhaps not 100% accurate, but if customs are feeling tight, maybe skip the donuts? My customs still fit the same and sound great after 4+ years. I'd read elsewhere that custom armatures, especially the high frequency models, are susceptible to shock damage. Perhaps having them knocking around in a non-padded case is more an issue for relative longevity.

Have you started commissioning your balanced amp and cable setup yet? Watch for the RK50 group buy. Seriously though, is the sound blowing your skirt up the way you expected? I'm still looking for impressions on front-end components; awaiting the JH-13 approved DAC thread.

^ Even having not yet met you, I just envisioned you doing a Christoper Walken impression along the lines of "What this system needs is more DACS." (Referring to the famous cowbell scene from SNL, with a monkey-like twist.)

Where cute meets sinister. This is a shot of "The Monster" at ~six months. The shaved spot on her neck is post spay procedure. And yes, she did eventually grow into those ears.

Favorite poem, ever: "Ode to Spot" by Lieutenant Commander Data Felis catus is your taxonomic nomenclature, An endothermic quadruped, carnivorous by nature. Your visual, olfactory, and auditory senses Contribute to your hunting skills and natural defenses. I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations, A singular development of cat communications That obviates your basic hedonistic predilection For a rhythmic stroking of your fur to demonstrate affection. A tail is quite essential for your acrobatic talents. You would not be so agile if you lacked its counterbalance. And when not being utilized to aid in locomotion, It often serves to illustrate the state of your emotion. Oh Spot, the complex levels of behavior you display Connote a fairly well-developed cognitive array, And though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend, I nonetheless consider you a true and valued friend.

  18. ^^ If you think you can get by my in-home security, then by all means. Perhaps this image of pure voraciousness will detour you
  19. I had similarly poor results using a B&K EX4200 with an SRD-7 Pro, although it drives my Aerial 5s beautifully. Wondering if they are just too darn powerful for this application.

    Hi gatto. Welcome.
  21. I'm hoping the tubes Justin includes on this piece are good enough (cannot imagine they won't be) where I won't have to worry about tubes, spikes, or the like, as I'd rather spend money on parts for a flexi-rack, and more music; lots more music.

Maybe, but still a fun thing to share (with a wink) with your squeeze. It's the kind of stuff some guys just wish they could just make up.
  23. Loitering and waiting for more BH impressions; just passing the time. Anything to keep me out of the forsale threads. Any more impressions (you know you are out there; sharing is caring)? Heck, even impressions from certain Elephantidae that include tube comparos that will undoubtedly drive up the prices of tubes before some of us even see what we might need/want for our specific cans.
