  1. Are your BHSEs sporting the RK50 pot? Is it smoooooth? From all that I read, it's supposed to be dead-center balanced at the lowest volume levels; wondering if this is helping the low-level resolution, which is one of the marks of a truly great amp.
  2. My eyes started to glaze over when I read bacon sauce. Great pics for great dishes. I'm eating very good homemade chili with a bit of crunched up tortilla chips and cheese; a chili pie. A little fresh chopped onion is always a good topper.
  3. ^^ I'll be starting a Waiting for BHSE support group to help pass the time and ease the pain; I just found my poster boy.
  4. I have the KSOs and the Flows. This past winter, I did a several mile hike in the flows (also have the toed socks). Around 38 degrees, hilly/rocky terrain, and some icy patches. I could feel the cold in the ground but my feet never got cold; was like walking barefoot in winter; provided great traction and feel for the terrain. You do still feel the sharp rocks so tread a little more lightly. I also wore them this weekend in the canoe. The gf uses a pair of KSOs at the gym for squats and lunges. They can be a pain to get on until you get a system down, but fun shoes. Not a runner, but much or the marketing material is around how good they are for running.
  5. Deep green with envy. You must be so stoked.

    Kitty Talk

Dusty, Keep us posted on your efforts to integrate a new kitty into an established cat household. We're considering cat number two, and all we speak with indicate a large amount of hissing until their smells start to mingle. Some suggested as much as rubbing your hands on one cat and then rubbing the other, and visa versa (waiting for Stretch to pounce on that comment). Read ya on the smitten part. My cat has me completely wrapped around her little paw. Coolest thing; follows me around the windows when I get home and hops on my shoulder for minutes of head-butting affection.
  7. Ultimate synergy can come in many forms . . it, just, feels right.
  8. Dry off your little trunk and give us some more sonic impressions, dang it.
  9. Of course, none of us are thinking that you are teedering on the brink with a question like that; nope, not a bit. Nor is anyone thinking about appropriate artwork for you. Therefore, I also didn't accidently attach:
  10. I have to echo the wise simian's advice. I decided to live with a fit issue on a pair of Sensa's (had returned once for a refit); left ear never as comfortable as the right, and regretted that decision from day 31 when the option ran out. You'll have these for years; get them perfect now.
  11. My favorite amp of our recent mini-meet. Major congrats
  12. Yesterday - bought four more 5-gallon bottles of water due to the Total Coliform and E. coli Bacteria contamination in the local (Milford, MA) water supply. It was detected in a "few samples" on the 5th and they got around to warning the public on the 9th. Today - Sitting at my computer wondering if I should go shower at the gym or go buy more big pots for boiling water. No data on local restaurants and what they are doing. We ate at Truffles (awesome food) Saturday night. Luckily, none of the symptoms at the moment, but did feel a bit funky a few days ago. Stretch - neighbor - might want to keep an ear to the news
  13. Suddenly thirsty. Good read, Doug.
  14. Perhaps it's part of a costume.
  15. Yea, and it was Primal Meatloaf; recipe from Mark's Daily Apple to which my gf subscribes (to my benefit). Luckily, 99.5 percent went the correct direction.
  16. You fucking guys. That double dose just slammed my funny bone for some reason, while eating; now have a tiny bit of guffaw-induced meatloaf lodged in my right sinus. Best B&W movie, ever.
  17. Almost looks like little glasses of beer, but sorry, butt fugly
  18. DRon, What the kids are trying to portray is this not the 'other place,' were you can just hop in and ask an arbitrary question about product x, without anyone knowing who the hell you are. Out-of-the-blue questions about equipment and the follow-on 50 pages of uninformed opinions is why other places are so full of garbage. Picking an out-of-date amp makes it even worse. Take a step back and read for a while, see if you fit in. Data here is shared amongst a community; passerbys are roasted and toasted and served with a shovel. Survivors of the test are treated to even more abuse, which is where the fun really starts. For the record, Headamp is one of the most trusted products you can buy; there are no substitutes (Justin now owes me fife dolahs).
  19. I can not speak highly enough for taking a series of lessons from a professional instructor. Getting your hands in the correct position and having a few initial goals will do wonders for your long-term enjoyment. I took classical lessons for a while and the hardest part about starting was getting rid of the bad habits I created by just noodling around for years.
  20. I was waiting for that question to appear on HF as "Saw an HF2 with black grills that looked great," followed by the ensuing shit storm. Not by you though, Torpedo; but by some other too-casual observer. I also actually-sorta looked forward to the topic implosion with wicked sadistic glee. Was that naughty? ETA - I do not think there is anything at all about the HF2 that annoys me. It's a Grado design; what I expected functionally speaking. Adjusts easily; stays where it's adjusted. I like the cable to boot.
  21. Perhaps you would be more settled by Ray Harryhausen's vision of a Kraken, which instead dines on sacrificial maidens and looks more like an aquatic, well, monkey.
  22. This where you write "No stats in '09" and we then mention this proclamation in '10 as we sample your O2/BHSE combination
