You just got a new piece of gear (or entire system) and need to select one of your reference songs to see how you new gear fares; get your first impression. What do you play, and furthermore, why? Alternately, you attend a meet and sit at someone elses table. Same question.

Downtempo Lounge; for a while now

The force is strong in this one. I find myself looking around for more stuff to sell.

^ Is there a bullwhip icon about?

I don't pee in the shower either

I have the CD cover that's the mini version of the full size LP, complete with picture wheel and internal album sleeve. One of my favs. Feckn (below post); roger that; such a great mix of material

Dusty, is that tossed kitty grass in pic #2? Very cute kitty BTW. I have a 9.5 month old Abyssinian that plays fetch and can go for walks on a lead, though is now pretty much just an indoor cat. She also meows (caterwauls) and bugs the living shit outta me if she wants to play. She has me so wrapped around her paw that it's not funny. Here's a vid that the gf posted on Tube to show her friends. Around five mths at the time. She (Meryl) really digs Supreme Beings of Leisure. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCzxDPLzkWI]YouTube - Delicious[/ame] And Meryl's reaction to being stuck on the Tube: facepalm with a Pffft for good measure.

I just suffered through the HF-2 thread on the other site (Thank you, Vicky, for fighting the good fight), where it seemed bad camera work/lighting sparked an entire wave of meaningless arguments about quality. Perhaps that's a better place to post these pics and questions; I'm sure it will be much better received, even if unnecessary.

Striped bass caught Monday. Coated with almond flower and fried in coconut oil. Less guilt; tastes amazingly good. Seems the family really likes striper now, so I have standing orders to kill-kill-kill (long-time catch-n-release guy). With the price of good trustworthy seafood like what's available at Wholefoods market, I think I'll be doing a bit more harvesting for food.

Sorry, but those high heels fit too perfectly to be loaners. ETA - and yes, I kept my gaze as low, low as possible; didn't help much.

If interested, I could make a few phone calls; however, seems like so much more work than our excellent mini-meet group, which includes better equipment on the whole.

Thanks, Nate. When I reterminated the HF-1, I had to drill out the back of the housing a bit for the outer cable (3/16") to slide through. Looks like the inside diameter of the plug housing is ~9/32". Reads as if I may need to start snooping around for something with a larger barrel diameter, or just borrow your Menace.... 8~)

Damn. Wondering just how well an 1/8" Neutrik plug is going to fare. Are the strands fairly small gauge in a thicker housing? Guess I could taper to single strands for the solder joints(?). Or, I guess I could buy an amp with a 1/4" jack. I do have two adapters hanging around somewhere, but dislikes dem.

Tempted! I've been using the Sensaphonics 2X-S for four years now and they still fit well and sound great, even after an unfortunate cable-over-a-candle accident.... I also had no thought or plans for another custom IEM. But then, I wasn't planning on another dynamic headphone either (HF-2). However, reading such great reviews from folks I've seen around for five years plus has me (almost) convinced that I need these, as much of my audio these days is at work, sometimes just for the isolation.

Looks like a winner. Use a V-cutter; cannot see how it's cut? One of my local cigar shops has an old drum-style V cutter that creates a perfect cut every time.

Wellfleet oysters. Best of the best in slippery ocean fare. One of our summer rental mates has a connection so we got a large bag over the weekend. I snagged a few dozen to bring home; just shucked'm. Well, more like pryed'm cause I do not have a proper knife; used a medium fine tip screw driver..... We also have striper in the oven; a fish casserole dish that's to die for. Just love summer time in NE. Several of the crew have shellfish licenses so there are always steamed clams, Quahog on the halfshell, and now this special treat. All polished off with Bourbon, cigars, and Red Sox on Saturday nights.

Rocky Patel "The Edge" Maduro. Smoked a few over the weekend while saltwater flyfishing. Intense smoke with great flavor; good bang-for-buck. Also picked up a few Aston VSGs (6 x 50); might just be my all time favorite but too pricey for all but the special occasion.

Which will then quickly be followed by the first poster in the HF announcement thread insisting on serial number 0001, two threads on who's ordered and their serial number preference/insistance, A few threads about Todd not having shipped theirs yet, and two more threads with pre-release conjecture-comparos to everything from the iGrado to the PS-1. Add one more pair to the HC team; just finished placing an order.

How about using it as the high-voltage warning on that new stat amp. You know, the one with which you insist on taunting and teasing.

Ha; when I saw the Pico/Slim comparo pix, I immediately dug through my computer bag for the little pouch containing my old 1st gen iMod Nano and Sensa 2XS. The Slim looks to be about the same size (head-on view) as the Nano; slightly larger. This would make for quite the interesting micro solution. Reads like the removal of the gain switch and channel matching an even better (and more realistic) reason for considering the Slim. Yes? This all prompted me to listen to the Pico - Imod Nano - Sensa combination. Still one sweet little porta-rig. Been spinning lossless all afternoon. Damn-it-all! Yesterday, I was looking at the Pico DAC, convinced that I "needed" for the office when using the Stax 005 set. Now this? Hmmm, logic dictates that I get both. Right? {{shakes self and remembers the stat amp mission}} Nice stuff, Justin; as usual.

My favorite Tool is Sober. For other tools, I'd have to say my big magnifier on an adjustable boom, as I have a hard time soldering chippies without it.
