  1. Sorry for refloating this thread. I'm listening to my "SquareWave KG latest version" in SE configuration. (Thanks Dr. Gilmore) It works great and is very simple to assemble. I have regulated the BIAS @ 120mA without problems and could even raise it much more. I have used a 100K resistor to make the servo act as fast as possible and from the beginning the offset is 0 Vdc so I don't need wait for listening music. I matched all the transistors as best as possible but with the MJE200 and MJE201 it was impossible to find an identical pair. ? The next step is to install it in a box but I'm hesitating, Is it worth making a balanced version? Is there much difference between the SE vs. Balanced version? I have enough material and pcb´s to do this without problems but if this does not make sense, I'll leave it in SE configuration.

  6. Thanks guys I know that many of you work wood well. I would like to mill the holes where the TRS, led and the power on/off. The problem is that the holes are very small and the milling cutter I have is of a size, let's say "standard". What could I use to do this? I had thought about Dremel milling cutter but they are hard to get around here. Lastly, what color would you like? I had thought to use some dye and leave it sapelli color (like the table) or use a clear varnish and leave it natural.
  7. Preliminary results. I don't know anything about carpentry so please don't be too cruel to me.

  10. With that price it´s difficult to saturate the market except in the case of the fanboy. I recently saw an ad on ebay of a Jade and it literally says "The Best Headphones Ever" ... crazy world.

  13. I think it can be a good project for Christmas.
  14. I'm thinking about changing the brake discs on my bike and going back to the XTR. Dura-Ace discs are giving me a lot of problems. They are quite soft and deform quickly. I do not know if the type of alloy is different or they have eliminated steel and making the aluminum core thicker. I use 160mm discs on both wheels with resin brake pads, my weight is 69/70kgs and although I live in a place with large drops and I usually do very hard braking this is no reason for the discs to be constantly deformed. I had never had any problems with the XTRs either on my road bike or on the mountain bike. A big disappointment.

  23. Thanks guys. My idea is to have three normal inputs (1 XLR +2 SE) plus a MM preamp (in my case a VSPS) AND three different types of outputs (and a mute): 1º Un/bal + pot. (It´s like a "direct" output) 2º Un/bal + pot + KG Diamond buffer MKII 3º Un/bal + pot + KG Diamond buffer MKII + dc Caps. So you can have three "different" types of sound. The appearance is not as good as I would like ? but it works (which is the important thing) although I still have some things to finish. Edit: Did I say that I like blue LEDs? ?☺️?
  24. Interesting. I also have some Lambda Pro ! If you do not mind. Could you describe the sound a bit in comparison?
