Yes it´s very interest. I use too ceramic insulator +7721-10PPG + steel screws, like others members and I never had have problems with this combination. Edit... And I'm very careful not to stain anything with thermal paste.

Blueman2 used STN9260 and it seems that it worked.

Are you sure that the tracks of the bearings are completely smooth? If you continue to disassemble the bike maybe the store refuses to accept the guarantee, be careful about it. Edit: Looking at the last picture you have put it looks like the bearing track in the bottom bracket case is quite scratched.
