I understand. It's scary. As I reported, I had my first (at almost 64) adult ear infection last month. It started as a head cold and eventually the pressure ruptured the eardrum. I had all the usual symptoms such as reduced hearing and tinnitus.
I saw my ENT again last Friday. He says the infection is gone but that there is still a little fluid in the middle ear. A hearing test revealed slightly reduced hearing in the ear. I'm to continue treatment (Flonase and hourly clearing of the ear) until the fluid is gone. My ENT thinks hearing will return to normal.
RIP Rugby.
Indeed it's difficult. Last June, I had to put down Gringo, the remaining cat I inherited from my marriage. It hurt so much I was never able to post about it.
You can do this yourself. Just add him to your ignore list and, voila, you've banned him. There is a caveat here. Tapatalk doesn't seem to know about ignore lists.
Mostly, just don't feed the troll and he'll go away.
Thanks for the advice, Antonio. I'll use the vaseline and cotton trick for this mornings shower. So far the antibiotic hasn't made a huge difference. There still is some draining, though nothing like yesterday when my ear canal was full of discharge.
I plan on making an appointment with my ENT tomorrow. I'll keep you in the loop.
