  1. what speaker rigs have you owned in the past, and how long did you spend with each setup that you owned? Also, what's the room like that the speakers will be going in? Will the room be setup around the speakers, or are the speakers more an afterthought.
  2. Anyone else had (or know the story behind) Royal Canadian? I rather like it...
  3. Lawhill Cocktail 1 Dash Absinthe. (1/3 tsp.) 1 Dash Maraschino. (1/3 tsp. Luxardo Maraschino) 1 Dash Angostura Bitters. 1/3 French Vermouth. (3/4 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth) 2/3 Canadian Club Whisky. (1 1/2 oz) Stir and strain into cocktail glass.
  4. I got plenty of those!
  5. it's an entire order The code is 2Q0WLWUF
  6. Windows Home Server has come a very long way, it's very nice for what it is. Is it superior to Apple? I don't think so. Is it inferior? I don't think by much. Regardless, like Dan said why would someone with such an investment change? They won't. However, for someone like the OP without such an investment, I think Windows Home Server is worth looking at. So is Apple frankly. So, try both or pick one... Or trust Dan.
  7. They are after all, dehydrated biscuits, right? In pill form?
  8. Crossing the Fox River again!
  9. Fox River Cocktail (Savoy) 4 Dashes Peach Bitters. (1 tsp Fee’s Cherry Bitters) 1 Lump of ice. 1/4 Crème de Cacao. (1/2 oz) 3/4 Canadian Club Whisky. (1 1/2 oz) Use wineglass and squeeze lemon peel on top. (I stirred and strained with no lemon) Didn't have peach bitters, but this one tastes almost exactly like Cola. Tasty!
  10. In general I like the yellow more in cocktails, the green is harder to really integrate well. It can be done and the extra herbal nature can be very nice. I really like the PeM vermouth.
  11. Incoming fax from Jim!
  12. Thanks Steve. I'm a bit frustrated that I'm lacking the next piece and it requires an angle that I cannot cut with my new saw (which by the way, is amazing). Also, you haven't found a way to get a piece of wood to grow in size, have you?
  13. I was just being an ass. I think the part you choose is really the best option out there.
  14. Let's talk! http://www.sparkfun.com/products/9188
  15. well, make some progress today. The hardest part was dealing with the imperfections in the wood. For example this panel bowing out. I couldn't really clamp it, and the brads didn't really bring the pieces together all that well, for example: Things seemed to line up okay, the top in this case is just placed on for looks. I'll have to do some work to get it to fit well, but should be doable when the time comes: Last, I started sealing up the seams, where the caulk wouldn't block future pieces. There were definitely places that you could see a crack of daylight in the joints, so I'm hoping this will make things nice and air tight. Unfortunately, I got stopped tonite as the next piece wasn't cut yet, and the next piece after that didn't fit all that well and will need to be trimmed. But, progress is good!
  16. Played with my new brad nailer. So, it it not okay to keep things full of compressed air all the time? I've heard Jude does this. Should it be drained daily? Also, the manual mentions keeping the tool lubed, but no instructions on what really to do and where on the gun.. Also, I don't get how the pressure adjustment on the tool works, it seems to not have much range or not work... or something. I just used the regulator on the compressor... That said, I got it to nail just fine. Cool stuff. Also, put the wheels on the base of the speaker and am about to glue and nail the first piece!
  17. yeah, I miss a lot of things. I just tend to watch certain threads only. Tapatalk makes it even worse, as it doesn't properly update stickied threads.
  18. meh at Intel graphics. Other than that, pretty cool.
  19. *Forgotten Time* (edit: from last night) Leatherneck Cocktail (or Scotcharita) 2 oz blended whiskey (blended scotch) 0.75 oz blue curaçao (Shrubb and a drop of blue food coloring) Juice of half a lime Shake and strain. Garnish with a lime wheel.
  20. found out about industrial and automotive pneumatic fitting styles. Also, found out that 1/2" diameter isn't standard and available anywhere near me. Gr.
  21. if anyone hasn't use FPE before, let me know as I have a referral discount code I can share with you. It gets 20%. Isn't Lily designing panels yet Nate?
  22. I decided to support the local guys at Woodcraft, and unfortunately also had to support Uncle Sam. I'm pretty excited to have it Believe it or not, when I demoed it at the store, the track wasn't even fastened down. I didn't realize that until today, when I asked about clamps. You couldn't even tell, it has a grippy surface underneath that apparently works. Also, word is that the De Walt tracks are interchangeable, so I might give that local guy a call. Festool makes a nice long track, but it's not cheap. Most people pay an extra $100 and just get a second 55" track and join them together. I'll wait before doing any extreme acrobatics with it until you're onsite, such as these: http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-jigs-tool-enhancements/festool-ts55-comes-through-again/msg84036/ (though, I might need a jig like that.............)
  23. good stuff. Try this one and report back (from chartreuse.fr): 'Art of Choke' 1oz white rhum 1oz Cynar 1/8 oz lime juice 1/8 oz demerara syrup 1/3 oz Green Chartreuse Fresh mint sprig (garnish) Muddle a mint sprig in the mixing glass with the other ingredients Stir and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass Garnish with an artfully positioned mint sprig
