  1. White Lady for Two 3 oz gin 1 oz Cointreau 1.5 oz lemon juice 0.5 oz rich syrup
  2. G&T with the Boomsa and with Tanq to compare. The Tanqueray is better, the Boomsa is a bit mild for this drink.
  3. 3/2 ha! Anyone noticed the sheer number of trackbacks HC is generating at Mr. Savoy's blog? For example, I'm mentioned on his page for this drink: Corpse Reviver #2 Equal parts. A few extra drops of St. George. Toasting to a new bottle of Cocchi!
  4. I'm a huge fan of Compass Box, so let us know what you think!
  5. cool stuff. I'm currently excited about playing with both the TI PCM4222 and the Cirrus CS5381. Both are great chipses, I was just curious what was being used in the wild. I can do 24/216 with the TI chip and 24/192 with the CS chips and am hoping to have something fully functional soon. I'm just about to the casing part, so fun times.
  6. that's the same reason I like to interview people
  7. ah. what chipses does it use? I give them bonus points for nice technical specs section, but this piece of info is missing: http://www.mhsecure.com/v5mm/ULN-8Specs.html
  8. I second the Smith and Cross. I also like El Dorado 5 and am looking forward to trying the 12+. My next rum will be a Clement agricole. I think that aviation is my favorite. It starts of a bit tart and as it warms up the Violette starts to come out. I use rich simple syrup and find it a very balanced cocktail. I could see wanting a bit more Violette though I think the key here is not very much maraschino, so next time I'll add a bit more Violette and see what I think!
  9. Ironbut, what are you using for an ADC?
  10. Anvil Aviation 1.5 oz gin 0.75 oz lemon juice 0.5 tsp Creme de Violette 0.5 tsp maraschino liqueur 0.5 tsp rich simple syrup I like this ratio the best. Shake and garnish with a cherry.
  11. well, I'm pretty sure we cannot get it here in Texas. Thanks for reminding me Al. hrumph. It was tasty. I'd be interested to know what the fine folks at Cask have to say about it. Now, what we can get that I really want to try is Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey.
  12. I'm very jealous of that one.. I'd like to find a used Sinn some day, I've really liked what I've seen of their stuff.
  13. Has anyone tried WhistlePig rye? It's very tasty, but my friend wouldn't let me pollute it unfortunately. It's made in Vermont, IIRC.
  14. really.... I didn't notice it was jam. Anyways, the place I ordered from was really sketchy herbalist. That was just my attempt at poking fun at them
  15. I liked the 20th. How would you describe the cocoa taste? Subtle?
  16. Mmmmmmmmmm...

  19. Anvil! Rum Alexander 1 oz rum 0.5 oz heavy Creme 0.5 oz Creme de Cacao Shake, shake, shake. Double strain and garnish with a bit of cocoa powder.
  20. cassia bark, cut arabic gum, powder cinchona bark, cut yerba mate, cut gentian root, cut allspice, whole coriander seed, whole According to the source of these, I"m going to be a monster in bed. Ironically, I'm just trying to get a bit drunker.
  21. It's like $11 I think. If for some bizarre reason you cannot find it, I can pick it up. I'm about ready to need another drinkupny "redirect", so the more favors I can do for anyone out there the better
  22. I think this will end up at $50 US a person, including shipping to you. I think I'd like to use the small flat rate box for these, so they don't get crushed. From Tent, my bill looks like: Amt Product Price Weight 2 XO Module € 24,37 0,00 kg 1 XO Module € 24,37 0,00 kg Subtotal: € 73,11 0,00 kg Shipping (TNT): € 25,60 Payment (Paypal): € 3,95 VAT: € 0,00 Total: € 98,71 If everyone is a go, please send me a PM.
  23. It is amaretto. I've only compared it to the Disaronno. It's sweet, but it has a complex flavor. There is a gift set now, where you can get a small bottle and some cherries that would be the way to go if anyone wanted to try this. I have an opinion on Tito's but it's not favorable... But I will say, one thing is it's an essential bar item for a Texan. At least in Austin, it has a huge following.
  24. One of those Smith and Cross Old Fashioned knocked me out. It was damn tasty though.
