  1. Agreed. Have you tried the Creole or this one, which is between the Creole and the above: NIRVANA COCKTAIL 2 oz Rittenhouse 100 proof bonded rye 1 oz Amer Picon ¼ oz maraschino liqueur ¼ oz Benedictine stir and strain garnish with orange twist if desired
  2. Pink Gin 3 oz Plymouth 3/8 tsp angostura Shake (stir) and serve So, I didn't care for this one the first time around. Dr. Cocktail goes on and on about the importance of Plymouth. Well, he's right. This is a completely different drink. Nice!
  3. Thanks Al! The ginger and botanicals from the Fentimans perhaps serves similar purpose here, because this really works! This and the S&C old fashioned should be on a certain person's try list Oh and you all need to try the Savoy Manhatten No. 1
  4. Cuba Libre 2 oz rum 1/2 lime, juiced and retained Cola Combine over ice and served.
  5. I approve. Don't let the proof scare you off, use them normally in recipes. However, they do pack a bit of a punch. The W&N has such a distinctive taste, it's quite amazing given that proofage. Report back, especially on the "Rum Old Fashioned"
  6. A few items. Not sure the proper sherry or port for cocktails, so I guessed. Also not sure how long these last and whether or not they should be refrigerated? Looking for some sherry / port schooling!
  7. Gin Rickey 1.5 oz gin 1.5 oz soda Half a lime, hand squeezed 3 pieces of ice Combine!
  8. Americano Equal parts.
  9. Blackthorn Cocktail (Savoy) 1.5 oz irish whiskey 1.5 oz French vermouth 3 dashes angostura bitters (scant 1/2 tsp) 3 dashes absinthe (scant 1/2 tsp) Stir and strain.
  10. Thanks Al! Very helpful!
  11. Interesting. My implementation is a single stage, just analog in and digital out, 2 channels supported. I can see why these loops would be bothersome, so just avoid them I say

    true that
  13. I'm considering ordering a few things from Cocktail Kindgom. I don't have a Hawthorne strainer and might want one to go with the mixing glass I'll order there (the seamless Yarai is out of stock, and has been for a while so I'll just get the basic Yarai): I'll also (finally!) get something with 0.75oz measurement, as they have a custom jigger 0.75/0.5 jigger with a 0.25oz marking. So, any recommendations on bar spoons? I need one that will reach to the bottom of my shaker, other than that I"m open to suggestions. I'll also cave and get some Boker's as well as some Reagan Orange.
  14. I wish Tapatalk integration worked better. For example, sticky threads never show up with new posts, posts with emoticons partially load (typically you don't get anything after the emoticon), and the unread/new threads just plain doesn't work.

I think the Libyans have decided to turn off the Internet.

  17. This is not a Manhatten clearly, but damn if this isn't a seriously quaffable libation.
  18. The Smith and Cross really works in this drink.
  19. Anvil Manhattan No. 1 (Savoy) 2 dashes curaçao or maraschino (1 tsp Creole Shrubb) 1 pony whiskey (1 oz. Handy) 1 wineglass vermouth, mixed (1 oz.
