Need to kill this bottle of Bacardi, which worked out well as I was a bit short for the second drink and made it up with W&N, which turned out to be an amazing drink! Daiquiri 2 oz rum Juice of 1/2 lime 1 tsp powdered sugar Add sugar and juice lime. Stir. Add lime hull. Add crushed ice into up glass to chill. Add crushed ice to mixing vessel. Add rum. Remove ice from glass. Shake and double strain. Hemingway Daiquiri 1.5 oz rum 0.5 oz overproof rum 0.75 oz lime juice 1 tsp powdered sugar 1 tsp grapefruit juice 1 tsp maraschino liqueur Same as above. Serve on ice. Garnish with a cherry. Mint Julep 3 sprigs fresh mint 1 sugar cube 3 ounces bourbon 1 additional mint sprig for garnish Place the sugar cube and 3 mint sprigs into your glass, add a small splash of water, and gently muddle to break up the sugar and release the oils from the mint. Pack the glass with crushed ice and add the bourbon. Gently slide a barspoon through the ice and lightly stir mix the bourbon through the muddled mint. Garnish with the remaining mint. And an action pic of my 5 year old in his first T-Ball game

Thanks Shelly! Of course, I cannot get any of those.. I decided to take a chance on the Russell Reserve 10 year bourbon. We will see.

Yeah, a lot of the drinks work better with a eau-de-vie. Thats what I found for this particular drink at least. I'd recommend the Kuchan stuff or Blume Marillen

working on directly attaching my Netgear ReadyNAS to my mac mini and setting up jumbo frame support. So far, very slick and very fast. The only issue I have is Internet Sharing not working from the ethernet interface over to the wireless interface, despite it being configured. This isn't a huge issue, but now I have to manually upgrade the firmware on the Netgear device. Next up, creating a single iPhoto library for all users on this machine, and perhaps a single iTunes library, if that's even possible (merging).

Thanks! Very helpful. I just bought some of this: 20 PCS. 1/8 x 12 3/4 x 20 BENDING BIRCH PLYWOOD That's way more than I need, so if anyone would like some... The front horn requires a specific curve. I remember back in high school drafting we had these moldable pieces of plastic that worked much better than the French curves to connect dots for curves. Anyone know what these are called?

That's the place!

I've been scooped! Gr. Well, I first used sweet vermouth and then Dolin dry. That sorta didn't work. The Vya does work nice though. My calvados is very assertive, it's the first flavor that you taste. Then comes the scotch and the "dashes" make the aftertaste. The vermouth is the flavor that mixes with each of these stages, so it feels to be the most important. Now, the above uses a much more assertive scotch, so I'm not sure how that would work. Thanks for the link! I'd give it a go I you had time to kill And you know I'm going to try that last one, right after this drink

This is one I've been playing with that might be ready for the harsh critics of HC: Faux Carre 1 oz scotch 1 oz calvados 1 oz extra dry vermouth 1/8 tsp Peychauds 1/8 tsp Angostura 1/8 tsp Benedictine Stir and strain.
