  1. Thanks! Very helpful. I just bought some of this: 20 PCS. 1/8 x 12 3/4 x 20 BENDING BIRCH PLYWOOD That's way more than I need, so if anyone would like some... The front horn requires a specific curve. I remember back in high school drafting we had these moldable pieces of plastic that worked much better than the French curves to connect dots for curves. Anyone know what these are called?
  2. That's the place!
  3. Agricole Toddy 2 oz boiling water 2 oz rhum agricole 1 sugar cube Dissolve sugar in water. Add spirit.
  4. It made me a bit moist, I must admit.
  5. Whiskey Skin 2 oz boiling water 2 oz scotch 1 sugar cube 1 lemon twist Boil water. Rise cup with said water. Add 2 oz to sugar cube. Stir. Add scotch. Add twist. Serve with spoon. This is yummy too...
  6. Suffering Bastard 1/2 oz fresh Meyer lemon juice 1/2 oz Handy Rye 1/2 oz Ransom Old Tom Gin 1 dash Angostura Bitters 2 oz Ginger Beer Shake ingredients. Add Ginger beer. Very nice!
  7. sounds like you have R2D2 in your house
  8. Japanese Cocktail 2 oz brandy (Pisco) 1 tbsp orgeat 1/2 tsp angostura bitters Shake and strain. Also, G&T with........ A potato gin?
  9. I've been scooped! Gr. Well, I first used sweet vermouth and then Dolin dry. That sorta didn't work. The Vya does work nice though. My calvados is very assertive, it's the first flavor that you taste. Then comes the scotch and the "dashes" make the aftertaste. The vermouth is the flavor that mixes with each of these stages, so it feels to be the most important. Now, the above uses a much more assertive scotch, so I'm not sure how that would work. Thanks for the link! I'd give it a go I you had time to kill And you know I'm going to try that last one, right after this drink
  10. This is one I've been playing with that might be ready for the harsh critics of HC: Faux Carre 1 oz scotch 1 oz calvados 1 oz extra dry vermouth 1/8 tsp Peychauds 1/8 tsp Angostura 1/8 tsp Benedictine Stir and strain.
  11. Watch it...
  12. Champs Élysées Cocktail 2 ounces cognac 1/2 ounce yellow Chartreuse 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice 1/2 tsp powdered sugar 2 dashes Angostura bitters And for my wife, a margarita with grapefruit juice instead of lime juice, as we are out of tonic and also limes... It's not half bad honesty.
  13. I had one of these recently with the green. I like it better with the yellow, for sure!
  14. Widow’s Kiss Cocktail 1 Dash Angostura Bitters. 1/2 Liqueur glass Chartreuse. 1/2 Liqueur Glass Benedictine. 1 Liqueur Glass Calvados Stir well and strain into cocktail glass.

  17. Exactly! Plus, Jude and Reks are BFFs!!
  18. Flying Dutchman Cocktail 2 oz orange gin 1/4 orange hand squeezed 1/4 lemon hand squeezed 3 drops angostura bitters Shake and double strain. Garnish with an orange peel. Still working down "Forgotten". I was skeptical about this one, but this particular orange gin is called out, and a brief discussion of available gin infusions in the golden age of cocktails. Believe it or not, i couldn't get the Seagrams locally... Anyway, it's a great drink, I can see the potential, though I would probably alter the ratios...
