Champs Élysées Cocktail 2 ounces cognac 1/2 ounce yellow Chartreuse 1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice 1/2 tsp powdered sugar 2 dashes Angostura bitters And for my wife, a margarita with grapefruit juice instead of lime juice, as we are out of tonic and also limes... It's not half bad honesty.

I had one of these recently with the green. I like it better with the yellow, for sure!

Flying Dutchman Cocktail 2 oz orange gin 1/4 orange hand squeezed 1/4 lemon hand squeezed 3 drops angostura bitters Shake and double strain. Garnish with an orange peel. Still working down "Forgotten". I was skeptical about this one, but this particular orange gin is called out, and a brief discussion of available gin infusions in the golden age of cocktails. Believe it or not, i couldn't get the Seagrams locally... Anyway, it's a great drink, I can see the potential, though I would probably alter the ratios...

I knew those cases would be perfect for the T2!

I am working on casing mine up. I'm having some crazy oscillation though and not sure how to really track down a solution :/ I need to get in the shop. I have everything cut, just need to drill and tap a few holes here and there.

Indeed there is one person. For your system that is you. For my system that is me. What's so hard to understand about that?

I'm not quite sure I understand the Vya extra dry / Carpano analogy. Then again, I've used it a total of once. It is more forward for sure than Dolin dry but so far it's not nearly as much as a showoff as Carpano is.

Anvil: Algonquin 1 1/2 oz Rye Whiskey 3/4 oz Dry Vermouth 3/4 oz Pineapple Juice Shake with ice and serve sans garnish. My first drink with Vya Extra Dry and it's amazing here! Blinker 2 oz rye 1 oz fresh grapefruit juice. 1 tsp DIY raspberry syrup. Shake with ice and serve with a lemon twist.

Started a DIY Hercules. There is lots of ink spilled on what exactly this is, but it's something that many Savoy cocktails use. The best description seems to be: "We have discovered conclusive evidence it was a fortified wine aperitif, spiced, and juiced up with Yerba Mate." Recipe from Erik Ellestad: Hercules #5 1 Stick Cassia Cinnamon, crushed 2 tsp. Coriander Seed, crushed 3 Cardamom Pods, crushed 8 Whole Cloves, crushed 1 tsp. Quinine Powder 1 tsp Gentian Root 1/4 Cup Yerba Mate 1 bag peppermint tea Rind 2 Seville Oranges Rind 1/2 Valencia Orange 1/2 cup Raw Sugar 750ml Quady Elektra Orange Muscat 1/4 cup Osocalis Brandy METHOD: Combine spices, peel, yerba mate and wine. Heat to 160 degrees. Add mint and allow to steep for 15 minutes. Filter through chinois and add Brandy. Let stand for at least a day. Pour liquid off of sediment and through a coffee filter and bottle. I more or less followed the recipe, the most noticeable substitution was the Brandy to take it up a notch (actually, this was the only brandy I had, other than Calvados and Absinthe). It took a while to track things down, so if anyone wants some of the raw ingredients here, let me know as I have plenty. Pics!

Nice! For what it's worth, the Rittenhouse 100 is an excellent budget cocktail rye.

I suppose it won't work well in the "mind eraser" I was planning on using it in

Has anyone ever tried Coruba Dark? Picked up Vya extra dry in a half size.

Any recommendations for something like a Ayre C-5Xe-MP or Krell EVO 505, but with a digital input?

Corn 'n Oil Tried a lot of variations and this is just a terrible cocktail and the Cruzan BS is just that. Free if anyone will pay shipping, otherwise it will meet Jim's Page's Parfait Amour in liqueur hell. Here's what I tried the THIRD time. 2.5 oz BS rum 0.5 oz Falernum Half a lime, quartered and squeezed. Stir. So, I tried to vindicate my DIY falernum. So, tried: Rum Swizzle 1.5 oz rum 0.75 oz lime juice 0.5 oz falernum 1 dash angostura bitters Better! More lime and better rum next time... And real swizzle sticks!
