  4. A variation on a classic, the "First Word": 309 gin, yellow chartreuse and lemon I'd guess In my fucking hotel too. This city is the best Al.

  7. Blood and Sand 1 oz scotch 1 oz fresh orange juice 3/4 oz Heering (1/2 oz + 1 tsp) 3/4 oz Carpano (1/2 oz + 1 tsp) Shake and double strain. Very, very yummy
  8. Update: Out of all the drinks in Forgotten, I've tried 75%. I've also started a list for Anvil, and I have the ingredients to make 75% of the drinks on hand. Sorta a random coincidence, but that's how it turned out.
  9. MyTouch + Valentines Day = Apple? ok, apparently I'm the only one in the gutter here
  10. Wait, that particular juxtaposition resulted in an Apple implication???
  11. Heering and Grapefruit Bitters
  12. grrr.. them's fighting words.
  13. Maybe it's a "Lamb Peris"?
  14. Meyer lemons might work well too. I like this one, has potential.
  15. What the heck is a lamb cigar?
  16. Nice Jim! Give the Mother-In-Law and the Picon Punch a try as well The orgeat is good. The drink is pretty complex. I think I wouldn't recommend the combo of the Blackstrap and the cane sugar. It's a bit much in an already sweet drink. It's a nice punch though to relax with. I'm on the second glass. Oh and the champagne just works perfect here, very nice interplay of flavors.
  17. Crimean Cup a la Marmora 2 broad slices of lemon peel 1 tsp sugar (1 sugar cube) 0.5 oz dark rum (Cruzan Blackstrap) 1 oz brandy 0.5 oz maraschino liqueur 0.5 oz rum 2 oz orgeat syrup 0.5 oz lemon juice 4 oz soda 3 oz chilled champagne Muddle peels with sugar cube and dark rum. Add everything else except the champagne and stir vigorously. Pour into 2 glasses with 3 large cubes of ice. Divide champagne between glasses.
  18. I quite enjoyed that one myself
  19. yes, yes, yes! thanks!
  20. Shelly, you don't perhaps use one of those glass conical shaped drip coffee makers? The design from the 20's or whatever. I cannot remember what those are called for the life of me, anyone know?
  21. oooooooh. that's sweet. I will resist the urge to hit the TB website.
  22. Why do you think 160mV would be too much for the servo to handle? The original circuit as posted by Kevin (also, the Dynalo) didn't even have a method for offset adjustment, and he felt that was adequate.
  23. agreed, I think that's one of the reasons they seem to mysteriously fail open. The incorrect marking is even more disconcerting. Props to PcX for taking care of me though and not being total assholes about it (other than asking what I measured them with, and it seems that the word Keithley was sufficient). That sort of makes me think that this has happened before... then I ran into that post via Google...
  24. Has anyone else had problems with PRP mismarking resistors? I found some, and then ran across this post: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=67078.0 PcX is providing replacements, so I'm on hold for a bit.
  25. no, good matches are very hard to get between the devices 2SA1145/2SC2705. I in fact have nearly perfect matches, the front end, and even the MOSFETs. In general, low hfe devices are more consistant. For example, try matching the 2SA1349/2SC3381, it's very hard. That's why I used single devices... and then matched a crap load of them. This is neither here or there though, the circuit shouldn't really care that much about this anyways...
