  1. And more -- RIP Robert John.
  2. Fear Of A Black Planet by Public Enemy (1990) https://album.link/tzgcrzhswzq35 Example: Yup - Fight the Power.... my friends.
  3. ^Yup - because reasons. First Take by Roberta Flack (1969) https://album.link/fhckknsjpptxq Example: good from the beginning...
  4. Happy Belated Dan - Cheers -
  5. Hurry Up Tomorrow by The Weeknd (2025) https://album.link/pg2q2hhj4snk2 (my link including QOBUZ) Example: I like the vibes of this album and there is a lot of hooks (some directly from Michael Jackson). Is it good, yup. Is it too long, absolutely. I will have to give this another listen, but most likely in chunks. One and a half hours of songs that are very samey in my head, looses my interest a bit. But there are some things that hit hard, just hate to not care anymore when they come.
  6. Latin Kick by Cal Tjader (1956) https://album.link/nfsk2z2xpp9sn Example: mo vibs
  7. Cheers Sir Colin - Happy Birthday's -- Sad to be too far away to gather all the time.
  8. John Field: Complete Nocturnes by Alice Sara Ott (2025) https://album.link/pg4pckdqkhgkf (I created an account - so I will start adding Qubuz to the ones when I post, this does not change the main page, it is a custom page. So I am not sure how long I will do this) Example: A lovely recording by Ott. Had me reading up on Field and his contribution to the Nocturne.
  9. Happy Birthday Steve!! Have a yabba-dabba-doo time A dabba-doo time We'll have a gay old time Cheers --
  10. Finishing up the 20+ hours of song by song analysis of The Wall (52 videos).
  11. A thinly sliced Skillet potato bake. I just have to wait for it to cool down for a bit before diving in.
  12. Cal Tjader Plays, Mary Stallings Sings by Cal Tjader (1961) https://album.link/i/1444024038 Example: Holy Poop. I am not sure why I didn't know that this existed. I get inputs from all over the place, and I just keep adding them to my queue. I work my way through, best as I can, listening. About 1 in 10 are worthy of a post. This is one of the 1 in 10.
  13. 2.3lbs of bœuf.. and a red...
  14. A little catch-up. I listened to this last Friday at the whisky gathering. And again right now. Live At The BBC by Marianne Faithfull https://album.link/i/1444089414 Example: Just lovely.. RIP
  15. Cheers Jeff - Happy Birthday -
  16. For some reason I have been really enjoying Dodie tunes. I have not been listening to albums or going down a rabbit hole. They started to show up in my YouTube Feed since the new year, and I just click on them once and a while. And I enjoy them every time. The deceptively simple tunes that get layered with harmonies and ornamentation. Then there are tunes like Hot Mess and Monster that hit harder.
  17. ^ I listened to it three times since it was released, and I really like it. Maybe the album cover 'put a spell on me', but enjoyable.
  18. Sweet Rain by Stan Getz (1967) Only Apple for Link - so here is Qobuz Example: Very Pretty Album.
  19. Get Up With It by Miles Davis (1974) https://album.link/i/157447301 Example: Now this is an album that I really had to pay attention to. 8 tracks, 2+ hours. But I got a lot out of it for putting in the time. Gone are the days of Bitches Brew, and we are not yet to Big Fun. Like a lot of his work, he was doing something different.
  20. Cheers fellow Mike - Happy Birthday -
  21. Distraction Rock 'n' Roll Animal (Live) by Lou Reed (1974) https://album.link/i/976827224 Example: I had a much different idea of Lou Reed from other works (mainly the Transformer album), but this was a killer set.
  22. Cheers Adam - Happy Birthdays -
