  1. Still have some 50yo's kicking around in my queue: In Too Much Too Soon by New York Dolls (1974) https://album.link/i/1443895609 Example: Fun rock with early punk vibes.
  2. Cheers HC Team - HNY
  3. 50yo Phases And Stages by Willie Nelson (1974) https://album.link/i/885243424 Example: I really like this album. Tender and pretty. He was happy to be on Atlantic records.
  4. Yup - long time Rick subscriber.
  5. 50yo -- Oh yeah ^^ one is 50yo as well. Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan (1974) https://album.link/i/1696215205 Example: More diverse than other albums, which I liked. But it is a good not great album for me. Of course a handful of killer tunes, but then a few that are a miss for me. It will be in rotation. Well until I listen to Aja again and this one may get lost in the queue.
  6. Happy new year smoked pork belly x3 y'all..
  7. Moontan by Golden Earring (1974) https://album.link/i/81668043 Example: Another band that I know by name and two songs. My bad, I would have had these on my playlists a long time ago. There is a lot for me here. Great jams, 9+minute songs. Classic guitar sound. Now that I know, I shan't forget.
  8. ^^ this. (I think I get it) -- 🤔
  9. 50yo pair Here Come The Warm Jets by Brian Eno (1974) https://album.link/i/723783174 Example: His first solo - and it is all over the place - in the best way. He tried most things, and most of them worked. And a good Album Title. A clear contrast to: Country Life by Roxy Music (1974) https://album.link/i/724178403 Example: YouTube wont let me post the original song for some age restriction reason or something. There is no bad lyrics in here.. yeesh Oh well. Overall a fun album.
  10. ^^ As much middle East as I expected. More Trump than I wanted.
  11. 50yo album time Autobahn by Kraftwerk (1974) https://album.link/i/726154713 (and yeah I don't know why they don't list QOBUZ as well) Example (THE track): This album is a lot more playful that I remember. I was very used to the later works where they seem more serious.
  12. ^^ impressive (listened to first half - added to queue)
  13. Happy Merry everyone - (NSFW - or family gatherings)
  14. Happy 108th Ric -- Cheers -
  15. Cheers Ken - Happy Birthday -
  16. Ah the Irish
  17. But - this thread will be pretty darn handy when we all, make a couple of frittatas to take to the weekend crew at work. ... It could happen
  18. Or if you have not played with the internet archive - wayback feature. https://web.archive.org/web/20241220054644/https://www.billboard.com/pro/vinyl-audiophile-reissues-expensive-worth-the-money/ They seem to blur this article - but by selecting the text I could read. https://web.archive.org/ Now - I don't use this for standard reading (nor would I recommend). I use it just for one off articles posted here. The New York Times or other such firewalled articles. I don't feel too bad for 1-2 articles a year that I read, that I am not going to subscribe for.
  19. channel ORANGE by Frank Ocean (2012) https://album.link/i/1440765580 Example: It was of its time, but I had a lot of fun with this one. Some R&B some Soul with EDM moments. Worked for me.
  20. Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath (1980) https://album.link/i/298099519 Example: Good Album with a couple great songs (example) for me. Metal was in a strange state in 1980.
  21. But Here We Are by Foo Fighters (2023) https://album.link/i/1682993466 Example: Good but sad album. Post Taylor's passing. Not as diverse as other recent offerings. I will probably listen to some songs more than the album.
  22. Selections From Irving Berlin's White Christmas by Bing Crosby (1954) https://album.link/i/1440877877 Example: Instead of watching - I thought I would listen.. Other than a few mic overloads, well done.
  23. Steak day two.. Yesterday's was a little heavy on the smoke for me. So I set the Chimp again to 225 until internal probe temp of 115f, but at a lower smoke setting. Then used cast iron pan on induction stove top to sear for 2 min {30 sec per side}. Steak flavors much more in balance with just a touch of smoke. Very close to what I wanted. Science!
  24. Ribeye - reverse seer on pellet grill.. Set Chimp to 225 until internal temperature got to 115. Then took grill up to 500 and seared for 2 minutes each side. The temp is pretty spot on. And lovely smoke.
  25. Great White North by Bob & Doug McKenzie (1981) https://album.link/i/1444092587 Example: I was feeling left out.... Also... Featuring the great Geddy Lee. I still have this album on vinyl and know it very very well...
