  3. John Field: Complete Nocturnes by Alice Sara Ott (2025) https://album.link/pg4pckdqkhgkf (I created an account - so I will start adding Qubuz to the ones when I post, this does not change the main page, it is a custom page. So I am not sure how long I will do this) Example: A lovely recording by Ott. Had me reading up on Field and his contribution to the Nocturne.

  7. Cal Tjader Plays, Mary Stallings Sings by Cal Tjader (1961) https://album.link/i/1444024038 Example: Holy Poop. I am not sure why I didn't know that this existed. I get inputs from all over the place, and I just keep adding them to my queue. I work my way through, best as I can, listening. About 1 in 10 are worthy of a post. This is one of the 1 in 10.
  8. 2.3lbs of bœuf.. and a red...

  11. For some reason I have been really enjoying Dodie tunes. I have not been listening to albums or going down a rabbit hole. They started to show up in my YouTube Feed since the new year, and I just click on them once and a while. And I enjoy them every time. The deceptively simple tunes that get layered with harmonies and ornamentation. Then there are tunes like Hot Mess and Monster that hit harder.
  12. ^ I listened to it three times since it was released, and I really like it. Maybe the album cover 'put a spell on me', but enjoyable.
  13. Sweet Rain by Stan Getz (1967) Only Apple for Link - so here is Qobuz Example: Very Pretty Album.
  14. Get Up With It by Miles Davis (1974) https://album.link/i/157447301 Example: Now this is an album that I really had to pay attention to. 8 tracks, 2+ hours. But I got a lot out of it for putting in the time. Gone are the days of Bitches Brew, and we are not yet to Big Fun. Like a lot of his work, he was doing something different.
  15. Cheers fellow Mike - Happy Birthday -
  16. Distraction Rock 'n' Roll Animal (Live) by Lou Reed (1974) https://album.link/i/976827224 Example: I had a much different idea of Lou Reed from other works (mainly the Transformer album), but this was a killer set.
  17. Cheers Adam - Happy Birthdays -
  18. Based on This^ This v Secret Love Letters by Lisa Batiashvili (2022) https://album.link/i/1627513869 Example: It is a little tough when you don't know the works, and further more not even familiar with the composers (Frank, Szymanowski, Chausson). But --- captivating? yup. Well recorded? yup (it is DG) And makes me want to see her perform at some point.
  19. Caribou by Elton John (1974) https://album.link/i/1440912739 Example: I have to say I am a little mixed. Some top tier songs on this album, mixed with some that did nothing for me. May be could have not been a double album? Just saying. But I will accept it for the highs. Eldorado by Electric Light Orchestra (1974) https://album.link/i/1054523537 Example: ^^ one of the better non-Beatles Beatles songs.. Jeff Lynn and the team doing what they do...
  20. for reasons Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me - Soundtrack (1992) https://album.link/i/46734067 Example: I was not up for watching this movie, but I was up for the amazing soundtrack by Badalamenti.
  21. Even In The Quietest Moments... by Supertramp (1977) https://album.link/i/1440868388 Example: Based on listening above, I just kept on listening to Supertramp... As I should...
