  1. Well not in person Live - but watching One of the 6 stages that they are streaming. https://www.youtube.com/@Coachella Lana Del Rey
  2. A Symphonic Celebration - Music from the Studio Ghibli Films of Hayao Miyazaki by Joe Hisaishi (2023) https://album.link/i/1680459073 Example: A good set of recordings by DG of the great Joe Hisaishi. I normally don't prefer mixing various works from various movies. But for the most part this works. It mostly groups them together by movie. And of course the recording standards are very high. Makes me want to watch some movies.
  3. Paper Hearts by Sleep Theory (2023) https://album.link/i/1696307201 Example: Checking out the hype. This is only an EP that they have done so far. A modern Linkin Park and Evanescence and other bands? Very produced. No idea what they will sound like live. It is catchy - but that is because we have probably heard it before. I have not read lyrics to see if there is depth. But still interested.
  4. Ha to the title. I have not seen anything from Dragon House in a while. I remember first hearing about them when I use to watch 'So You Think You Can Dance' a decade or so ago. I followed a few members such as Marquese Scott and others for a while. What I do a appreciate is how they push each other, and their collective reaction when someone really does unleash a new move.
  5. Led Zeppelin III by Led Zeppelin (1970) https://album.link/i/580708279 Example: Classic for a reason - not revolutionary, but a nice progression of music and style from II to IV. And yes I have the old gatefold record with the spinny thing for the cover art. 😵‍💫 I do listen to Zep a lot during the course of the year, but it has been a while since I sat down and really listened to an album. Maybe like 6 months or something crazy like that.
  6. Being a fan of the b-body (charger/cornet/road runner) it is always fun to see a 'bird in the wild.
  7. - thanks for the reminder. I have been thinking about it for a while - also been waiting for the rain and snow to let off a little bit. I will start looking at designs and figure out the size. I think what I really need is a vest with a bib thingy built in..
  8. Hey! We are still at it!! Announcing the Third Annual Walk for Belonging from Communities of Belonging in support of Second Chance Month... I still serve on the board of directors as both the Treasurer and Secretary, along with IT guy and 'how do we do this?' guy. (donating over 1400 hours last year - yeesh) A few highlights of the year: We are now in 5th year of providing restorative housing to formerly homeless and formerly incarcerated individuals. Offering them a safe supportive environment. We continued weekly Community Meetings - now totally over 300 gatherings. Received approval as an FCS provider (Washington Foundational Community Supports) that will allow us to expand our services to the broader community. Published our new website, and continued to expand our videos on our youtube channel. Along with making many new connections with partners and other providers. On April 20th we are holding the Walk for Belonging at Green Lake in Seattle. Yes, I know that 4/20 is Earth Day and Pizza Delivery Driver Appreciation Day, along with other connotations. But, we really like this as a day for our celebration. We have setup a GiveButter page and I have established a Team. I always hate to have to ask for support, but you guys have been so generous in the past to me and our cause. You don't have to register if you are not in the area - "No thanks, I would just like to donate" is an option. https://givebutter.com/Walk4Belonging24/michaelmaddock I will be walking in memory of Les (bottom left of the collage). A native house member that died suddenly at the end of last year (12/26). It was a huge loss to the house and to all of us in the community. Many thanks for reading - and now back to music. Cheers, Mikey
  9. A floury bake, I was not going to let it stick to the basket like the last few times. A basic combo of whole grain. sifted wheat and oat flours. The starter is becoming more healthy as the temperature is slowly rising around here. It does use up a chunk of propane to run my little oven for 2 hours but chomping on fresh baked, naturally leaven bread slathered with Kerrygold butter is totally worth it.
  10. A lovely expression of voice.
  11. ^^ listened and liked - thx. Discipline by King Crimson (1981) https://album.link/i/1090440045 Example: A formative album in my late teen years. I didn't find this album until after Yes, So probably about 1986. It has been a while since I listened to it, I tend to gravitate towards "In The Court Of The Crimson King" wth it being more proggy. But I knew every track in this listen through to a high level of detail and of course enjoyment. I will not let it slip too far away...
  12. I know that route!! Well done.
  13. Power To The People by Joe Henderson (1969) https://album.link/i/1733736515 Example: Such a great set and a classic line-up. Hits hard when they want to.
  14. Happy Birthday Doug -- Cheers -
  15. If you need inspiration for decoration...
  16. ... sounds like a dangerous combo for a 166 min movie...
  17. Beethoven for Three: Symphony No. 4 and Op. 97 "Archduke" by Yo-Yo Ma (2024) https://album.link/i/1725363052 Example: I didn't even know these existed until today - this was released last weekish, and two others were released in 2022. Only 4 symphony's so far. I hope that they can complete the flight. I thought they might have recorded in the space pictured. - But no - in an equally cool building - the EMPAC (Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center).
  18. Chris Thee-lee
  19. I have heard Chris Thile (how ever you say that) say it enough, that I think I could come close. --- ˈiːfʲə
  20. Nice images Ric, that second dudes shirt sure causes a lot of moire effects until I get it full size...

  22. All My Friends by Aoife O'Donovan (2024) https://album.link/i/1716406615 Example: This was released a few days ago, I finally got a chance to give it a good listen. I have always appreciated Aoife's inflections and attack on notes. --
  23. So after many weeks of diagnostics and several trips to several part stores, my truck is finally producing an acceptable amount of voltage. It settled out after this photo and running the truck for about 35 minutes to about 14.2 volts. I am happy with that. It started with me hooking up the fifth wheel, about to make a short trip and noticed that I was no longer producing electricity. I proceeded to check things out and then replaced the alternator. This of course did not fix the issue. As it turns out, all the voltage regulation is run through the computer. I tried to buy a new one of those which would have cost me $500 but nobody had them or would sell me one. So I finally decided to go completely DYI and externalize the voltage regulator to its own device. I got that all hooked up and I was getting too many pixies with it, around 15.7 volts. I didn't want to just boil my batteries to nothing. So after running a separate power lead and doing some additional rewiring, none of which I am very proud of and will not take a photo of, I got it all back together and working "properly”. I can at least move on to other projects now.
  24. We will be waiting for your haul video soon.
