  1. Phones and their Os's are just tools. Pick the best tool for the job. Some tools are imperfect. However marketing / branding would like to have us self identify by our purchases. Which leads to polarization. with no room for nuance. "You're either with us, or against us" and absolutism and rejection of facts (and history) "We have always been at war with Eurasia". So then its just a matter of taste, and preference. And we can agree to disagree, can't we.
  2. I trust your slippers had been pre-warmed for your return. You should not have to suffer the indignity of chilly slippers at your age.

Ric, someone seems to have taken the salesman's quote to heart, and as an elder, got someone else to do all the work (allegedly) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/11096727/German-Playboy-model-Cathy-Schmitz-marries-billionaire-Richard-Lugner.html

Somewhat irreverent, but perceptive / amusing comments (and U2 snarks) http://forums.theregister.co.uk/forum/1/2014/09/13/u2_uncool_but_whats_with_all_the_crotch_rubbing/ Plus Pre emptive use of use of Watch-hole "The Apple Watch is an interactive stylus with the added benefit of (inevitably) being perceived as a status symbol by the look-at-me hipster-tech crowd. Prepare to be inundated by Watch-holes."

  24. You can, with a steady hand trim some sims. Sim -> Micro -> Nano (depending on your layout of your sim) e.g. http://www.amazon.com/QQ-Tech-Cutter-Standard-iPhone-Adapters/dp/B009P16FKY http://www.amazon.com/Noosy-Micro-Cutter-Converter-adapters/dp/B003UEWF8I You can get Adapters (with varying degrees of success) to convert Nano->Micro->Slim to use a given sim in a different sized holder / slot ... Or like much of the (Non US) world ... Use a Dual Sim Phone ... ( e.g. keep your business number + personal number separate ) http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/test-centre/mobile-phone/3511526/best-dual-sim-smartphones-2014/ http://www.cnet.com/news/why-you-want-a-dual-sim-phone/ http://www.phonearena.com/news/The-best-dual-SIM-phones_id32596 If you want to use your phone, as a phone, you know, for calls + texts ... Or use google voice , as a "virtual" phone / number / font end / - so you can change the physical phone back end at will - without having to inform your contacts - assuming you gave them the google voice number first.
