I kind of like everything I've seen today, peak, apex, zenith, or whatever it is. It all looks like its capable of making music. I'm financially kind of 'spartan' right now, but I'd jump at a cave-only apex w/ intro price of the peak

apple lossless + itunes.

Has anyone tried watching an entire movie or show in HD on their ipad? If so, is it boiling hot afterwards?

I haven't found a show on FX I've really loved as much as the shield, since it ended. Justified is not bad though.

CD players are outdated, so they are back in style! My Sony sounds at least as good as my old dac at half the price. I really like the way a CD player kind of forces you to listen to entire albums. Its a more 'disciplined' experience, whereas thousands of songs on tap from a PC leads to schizophrenic audio crack sessions. YMMV

I havent been following very closely on the SH forums, so this may be old news, but... I suppose the SACD will follow the vinyl at least half a year later, but maybe we'll get lucky this time.

Assembled a third ikea bookshelf, and finally arranged/plugged in my CD player, giving me 2 rigs to listen to. Which is great since the cat is no longer allowed in the primary computer room due to fiberglass panels. Now I just need to get another computer for the area. Either a laptop or imac, probably.
