Ipod Touch / Iphone
I remember when I bought my iphone at the Apple store, I didnt even have to go to the desk for checkout; the guy had some sort of portable card reader with him. (we happened to be standing at the iphone accessory rack at the time) I was very impressed by that.

You know what really grinds my gears?
Depends. "Hannity and Colmes" are both extremely biased. I like neither. Some of the actual news reporting is not. I know everyone insists it is, but think about it for a second; if there is a liberal bias in the media, than Fox would have to seem a stark difference, if it is indeed fair and balanced. Its just as you said above; people see what they want to see. Case in point; compare Bill O Riley with his competitor Keith Olberman.

Conservatives tend to much dominant on radio than tv. I find it to be the opposite for democrats. Everyone knows Rush Limbaugh is biased; major news corporations themselves, i.e. MSNBC/CBS/etc dont make such a claim though. I have no problem with a liberal talk show, as long as they label themselves as such. I have a problem with a liberal (or republican) talk show that pretends to be true bi-partisan journalism.

Any thoughts/experiences with RVG Blue Note remasters?
Yeah, OJC has some holes in their artist catalog. Actually, it seems that Blue Note artists are the ones most lacking. So like LFF said earlier, in some cases RVG is your only option, unless there is some rare import version for that particular album. I'm still trying to get all the OJC discs I can manage, but occasionally take breaks to get artists not found in OJC at all. I've really been digging some stuff from Concord. edit: oh and the Fantasy series of vinyl is fantastic, as LFF mentioned.

Any thoughts/experiences with RVG Blue Note remasters?
Some people question these, because the master copies of all the jazz albums were hauled off to a storage facility, and the one guy who knew how they were categorized/stored was let go. So it remains in question if these new Keepnews releases are taken from the correct master tapes, and not some close second or third copy. I'd recommend going for OJC, with a proven track record. I've got a ton of them and only disliked the audio quality of 3 or 4. And those were simply very, very old recordings that were flawed to begin with.

I'm trying to re-scan the library of mine, as it was only showing a few thousand files, as opposed to 13k. Weird. Im showing 2 invites. I take it accepting them allows you all to view my stash too. Let me know if you cant see anything. It should be there in a few minutes after scanning, I think.

NIN: The Downward Sprial - Double 180g Vinyl
When I'm talking about bite, its not really impact or attack. In this particular case, I mean that the CD has a different tone due to (afaik) distortion and being recorded 'hot'. It is a more etched sound. Grain. Usually the last thing I want in a recording, but thats part of NIN's charm sometimes. Its really difficult to pinpoint or describe accurately (at least for me). Still, if I could have only one version, it would be the vinyl transfer, no doubt about it. I forget the origin of my copy of the vinyl transfer, because it was given to me. From someone possibly reading this very thread

Stupid question time: can you download music from john-doe's shared folder to your own hard drive? If so, I should think the RIAA would be all over this.

Looks like it works. I was able to load a small portion of my library (~12,900 songs) into iTunes. It looks like Cover Flow is disabled, but I guess thats a small price to pay for such a cool program. I wont be able to take advantage of it at work (streaming isnt allowed) but it will serve a nice purpose in my home.
