Well the transfer to digital from the vinyl I heard was an all-around improvement. Though sometimes I missed the extra bite the commercial CD offers, but rarely. Only on a few key places, like the opening to The Wretched.

You and everyone else. That they haven't done it yet really defies belief. But then again, I havent bothered adding an e-sata pci slot to my computer yet. The drobo 'share' is a joke though. Its their way of adding Ethernet, but it attaches via USB. Bye-bye throughput.

Oh and these are what I'm probably going to get to start with.

I love the blacx. The drobo isnt meant as a replacement for those, btw. Just another backup. Though it does have the advantage of having 4 drive bays and automated redundancy. But will do

For my office. I've been wanting off site backup of my music for a while, and now I can have all of it available at once, as opposed to shuffling individual drives from home to work. There's a good chance I'll be adding a mac to my office rig this year, so I'm glad to have the firewire. Of course now I get to go buy 4 more 1TB drives

For about $10 after shipping. I doubt they'll honor it, but its worth a shot.

I know its apples and oranges, but their computer speakers are quite awful. I just hope nothing from that department spills over into earphones. I imagine they'll keep at least some of the original UE staff on board, and just let them do their thing, albeit with a bigger budget/better tools/etc. I just hope it doesn't become a cost-cutting exercise, where every part of the product is compromised in some way.

It would be nice if they could bring the price down for the same quality.

I wonder when the shift in quality (for better or worse) would happen though.
