There is an app called Mojo that has similar functionality and let's you download your friend's music as well. I haven't used it though. It does not have an iPhone/iPod Touch client though.

not that I'm aware of, I think it's just a streaming app, no downloading.

Well, I'm connected to grawk, tyrion, bigguy, and grandenigma. This app rocks. Spent the morning browsing other libraries....this may be worse on my wallet than the WAYLTN thread.

That must be it. Hopefully it will iron itself out over the next few days. When it was working it was impressive to say the least.

Yeah, I saw that too, but it was working for a little while. I was connected to two other users and streaming music from them. I could also access my home computer. Perhaps there are larger issues here. You do need to create an account, so perhaps they have some sort of server that is seeing heavy traffic right now.

Well, it's been a bit buggy for me.... it was fun for awhile....we'll see if it comes back up again. I can't seem to get it to work now, although it could be my work connection is blocking it.

Ok, so a few of us have found this sweet program that allows you to share music over the intertubes: Simplify Media - Connect Your Music If you're interested, download the program and PM me for my screen name. Right now, a few of us are using it successfully. It rocks!
  10. tyrion and I just tried this and it works...grawk is currently listening to my tunes, but I haven't been able to connect to his library yet.
  11. I'm currently using it as well. PM your user name and we can try it out.
  12. Well, I'm not sure it's the same sort of radio station you're thinking of, but I always loved Pandora when I had my squeezebox. But there, you make your own radio station.
  13. Just saw this news on another site. Seems like it's a good thing. Slim Devices seems to be doing well after being bought by Logitech.
  14. Well, if you can get ahold of BUF634s then you could try a PIMETA. But I think the BUF634 buffer is out of stock everywhere right now. There are replacements but I've never heard them. You could build an M3 for about $200-$250 if you price it out right. Of course I don't know if the footprint is small enough, but that might be your best option.
  15. I've been using those two a lot as well as OmniFocus for the iPhone and the desktop client. So far, so good. I always have my iPod Touch with me, so I'm capturing my ideas about current and future projects for work. I've been using it a lot in the last week and I can't tell you how much it's changed my life. The software is based on the book "Getting Things Done" by David Allen...it's changing how I do everything, in a very very good way. Other than that, the paid apps I like are: iDrink a Dice Poker Game Koi Pond (I know, lame and silly, but it's fun) I've got tons of free apps, some which I still have on the phone and others I don't anymore, mostly free games.... ChartFight is a free game that's essentially a Battleship ripoff. The cool thing is that it can discover other iPhone/iPod Touch users nearby (via WiFi) and you can play them remotely. My wife and I had fun playing that game.
  16. Looks like there might be some hope for the tethering app: Macworld | iPhone Central | Catching up with Nullriver and NetShare
  17. Do you have an iPhone? Because I don't have that option under Settings --> General. Perhaps it's an iPhone thing and not an iPod Touch thing.
