Get in touch with Hirsch...he tube rolled that amp a lot. I think the best tubes are not what you'd expect...an inexpensive Japanese brand...what were they called?
Raytheon, maybe.... yeah Raytheon brand 6cg7.
Can't say that I've used EH though.
I did have that problem when I first installed 2.0 but it seems to be fine now. Every now and then there's a lag though. 2.1 has been seeded to developers so hopefully a fix is forthcoming.
Sorry to bump an older thread. Has anyone used the Netflix Roku player for "Watch It Now" content?

"A wealthy scoundrel seduced and betrayed me."
No seriously. I bought an iPod and was tooling around iPodLounge (now iLounge) and came across a link to Tangentsoft.
I was more excited about building a little amp in a mint tin than the headphones really. But once I built that amp, I needed something to use with it.
I always wanted to get into high end audio, but I figured it would be a little later in life when I had a house and could dedicate money/space to a speaker setup. But headphones offer an experience I can't be without. So I'm hooked.
Essentially the author goes over some of the challenges that you face measuring headphones (specifically the FR). He talks about getting accurate readings from the headphones on a dummy head and how headphone position alters the measurement from one reading to another.
Then he goes on to talk about the various ways you can go about applying corrections to the measured curves based on Free field or diffuse field response. He talks about the work of Thiele and how the headphone industry doesn't seem to have a consensus about which is better, FF or DF.
Then there's a bit with a dog.
He then goes on to show the FF and DF corrections for 4 headphones and how the graphs differ and so forth.
It's all very gripping. Truly neat read. It should show up on Stereophile website in a few months. It's in the August issue.
What spritzer said. They're fun....rolled off treble, but an image unlike any other e-stat out there. Definitely something to hear if you can. You'll most likely get the $800 back if you decide to sell later....they don't pop up that often.
