Got up, walked the dog, did the morning routine thing, now I'm at work testing and getting ready to go to a lunch for a departing colleague.... should be a nice lunch too, on the department's dime

Well I received a brand spanking new pair of SE530 headphones yesterday via the mail. I sent them out to Shure on 5/14 and received the replacement pair on 5/22. I was jammin' to them on the way to work this morning. Literally, brand new, with all accessories, box, paperwork...etc. So that's cool. I used the first metal box that the E500 came in for a little battery powered PIMETA I use at work/home. So now I have another....might put a little USB DAC in this one...we'll see. During the week I was without them though I had the chance to listen to the new pair of Sennheiser PX100. Not bad at all, a great little portable headphone. While isolation was poor, it wasn't as bad as I thought and they did ok on the bus. I'll definitely keep them as a backup or for times when I don't want something in my ears (sometimes I just can't wear IEMs).

It's the year of parent-trips. We're going with my in-laws to Utah/Arizona area and hiking slot-canyons... should be fun. Then in Sept. we're going to Greece for a week with my parents (my father is from Greece) to see family.

Just went to the new burger joint in town (called Buns humorously enough). I got a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and a side of fries. While In N Out burger is the best hamburger I've had (double double animal style), this ranks a pretty damn close second, maybe even tie, but I need to get out west and have me another In N Out burger before I can really make that call.

We've got a place called Bandidos in Chapel Hill. They have a lunch club, buy 9 lunch specials and get the 10th one free. I hear ya. It takes all my will power somedays to walk past it to the sandwich/salad place.

How do you feel Buffy jumped the shark? I could possibly see Angel, but I'm less inclined to say so with Buffy.

Angel gets better but as a whole is not as good as Buffy.

My favorite Indian restaurant in the MD area is Udupi's. Damn they are so good. Here in Chapel Hill, we haven't found a good Indian place yet. Sutton's on Franklin Street is great for a Burger and 411 West is a great little Italian joint.
