Went to my first Cars and Coffee in the area this morning. This is the lower end one while Saturday morning is the multi-million dollar car C&C in McLean. This might be the last of these though as the police showed up as so many hotrod douchebags were burning out when leaving the parking lot so the police said no more, after many years of this event occurring here. First the VW Mafia Cars: Vintage Golf Rally Audis

I would have traded 5 of each of those Omegas for that watch. DavidSW is big on the Rolex Forum, I have always wondered how he sold so many new watches not being a dealer.

Yeah I am not sure if making my windows roll up from the key is worth $350. I will have to look into it to see if there is anything else it does I would want.

VW Mafia, are all of the VAG-Com things the same or is there specific ones I should be looking for? I have managed to burn through a quarter tank of gas in 65 miles for a whopping 12.1 MPG so far. I need to drive my full size SUV as a fuel economy car at this point.

Yeah, if I take them off it will be soon. It drives alright. Brakes are a bit mushy but I took it out to Georgetown Pike for a quick handling tour and found it to be good, maybe not as sharp as I would have expected. That road is fantastic if it was not for all the 3 Series BMWs putting along riding their brakes through the hills and corners. Still trying to get used to all the tech as the touch screen on my Pioneer head unit kind of spoiled me. A few pics from Great Falls Park. (Why is no one else posting any pictures, thread needs more pictures)

I am seeing a trend here, but I am still thinking about it. It is not something I have seen on other Audis so I kind of like that. I also paid $85 dollars for the stickers according to my window sticker, so I assume they are made of sterling silver or something valuable.

Thanks Shelly. I am a big fan of the blue as well. I need to decide if I am going to have them take off the Quattro stickers off the rear doors. I think they are goofy but they say it is a historical reference so it is "cool". Also not digging the stereo interface as I have become accustomed to the Pioneer deck with touch screen and all the great graphics.

Speaking of the VW Mafia, I have this fancy license plate holder I do not need now. Anyone want it? Just cover shipping and I will send it your way.

Yeah, bluetooth will be all I use, just pisses me off that they are so out of date.

Thanks. Need to do a lot of reading to figure out how everything works. The Audi Connect is very cool as it uses Google Satellite maps and intelligence so I can ask it things like, what is the highest rated yelp chinese restaurant in the area and it goes out and finds it and gives me directions. I am disappointed that this car comes with the stupid 30 Pin iPhone cable like the VW. Those phones have been off the market for years, why won't VAG figure that shit out. Met Dusty for a little ride and photography today. Had to get out now that the rain has stopped to do some night time shots.

Ouch. I am sure there will be numerous people willing to sell her an umbrella, but most of the hotels have them for sharing as well.

Picking up the S4 tomorrow. Looks like shitty weather all week of course. Anybody here have a recommendation for a great car cover to use while I travel and leave the car out?
