Got a whole 2 miles in on the Spot today, with an hour break in the middle at the gym. I seem to remember how to work the bike, so that is good.

Hit most of the big names while I was in town, yet bought nothing. I intended to get the Blancpain FF Chrono at the boutique, but found after wearing it that the combination of reflective/shiny dial and subdials made telling time fairly difficult in any light. Great looking watch but fairly blingy, even more so than the Ceramic Sub. Tourneau told me that the Blue Pelagos would be in stock by the end of April. I have some doubts but the guy is supposed to call as soon as I can buy one.

Spending the next few days in NYC. I wonder if it is easy to buy watches in NYC?

The meet was way too noisy to hear anything at all. One of the noisiest meets I have ever attended.
-
Not sure if anyone here is actually interested in these, but since it had a lot of Gilmore representation I figured I would post here. KSA-5 Clone Balanced Dynalo Whatever this new amp is called. About the only headphones I recognized at this meet. Along with the 50 pairs of LCD-2s Some amp the audio store guy was peddling. A pimped out Crack and a normal Crack

That meet is in my neighborhood, I might have to drop by. -
Spent the day at a nice little stereo shop in the neighborhood that I just realized existed. There are a lot of nice speakers on the market these days. Listened to several Raidho speakers with their ribbon tweeter that I thought sounded pretty great and some Devore Fidelity speakers that I thought were ugly but they sounded good. Also the first time I have heard Auralic DACs. I should have bought Todd's when he had it up for sale. The Berkley Reference DAC was pretty great as well. I have almost convinced myself to dump the Stealth 6s and go with real speakers and amps in the office.

I use it as a preamp in my office system and I really have zero complaints. The tech is really nice to have and sound quality is great.

Take it down to about 650 calories, and then I will like my chances.
-
Yeah right. I took the winter off. I am struggling running 5ks at this point and have not been in worse shape in a while. I also have not been a bike in months.
-
Just be warned, there is always a good chance that I will ride about a mile before I get bored and go do something else.
-
Yeah, I do not think 43 is big at all. The 46 starts to seem a bit big, but only when going back and forth. The Rolex Glidelock clasp is fantastic. Getting the perfect fit is so easy with this system. Might have to upgrade the Sea-Dweller to the SD4000 or whatever next.
-
After wearing the Sea-Dweller and Submariner the last 5 days I am back with the 46mm Breitling today and I have to admit it does seem kind of cumbersome.
-
It is a 56mil serial so 1998. I knew I got it in grad school. Here is a pic properly exposed that shows how different the lime is from the Breitling and Omega.
-
A large part of it is the photography, as I went for low light in a fairly well lit room so the overall lume is degraded by the settings. It is fine, but not as good as many of my other watches. Fortunately, I do not give half a shit as I rarely need to know the time in the dark.
-
Yeah, I actually used a studio head but the lume dies down quickly and I could not remember how to work the RX-1 since it has been so long, so not bright.
-
Lume shot for Larry. Not very impressive and fairly short lived.
-
Heh, yeah the shop had no no-date subs. They had a Hulk and 2 of these, 1 Sea-Dweller and 1 Deepsea but they mostly had non-sport watches.
-
Hey Zach, can you give me the date?
-
Really liked the looks of the Datejust II with metallic blue dial but decided to go with an update to my '94 Sub.
