  1. Spaetzle und Kugel -- Not Your Average Joe's take on this very traditional dish, which is surprisingly...traditional (they usually have their own take on everything).
  2. Terence Bayler Frank Dickenson Buckwheat Zydeco
  3. Happy anniversary to you both.
  4. Takeout garlic pepper chicken frrom the same place as yesterday -- my long-time favourite dish that they make.
  5. ...are destroying...
  6. (drools more) It's like a flying saucer of deliciousness.
  7. Iliza Shlesinger, Confirmed Kills Hilarious Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse "I would tongue-pound her salty walrus any day of the week." :groucho:
  8. New Pallbearer: https://profoundlorerecords.bandcamp.com/album/fear-and-fury
  9. Chang mai noodle at Siam Bistro -- my favourite thai food house is closed until mid October! So I went to another one that I haven't been to in a few months that I've been meaning to go to anyway. It was still delicious, but I ended up putting something from all four of the spice tray spices (fish oil, sambal oelek, crushed peppers and I don't know what the fourth one is, but I used it anyway - jalapeños suspended in vinegar?) and brought it up to a palatable level of heat.
  10. Me too, now.
  11. ...or otherhow prepared incorrectly, yes, this.
  12. Happy birthday! (party favour noise)
  13. Yeezh. I hate strep. Drink plenty of fluids, make sure you are fed (your immune system needs fuel to fight the good fight), get plenty of rest.
  14. Popcorn by "Life by Dallas" "Garlic Overdose" flavored In other words, addictive as crack
  15. I like the sound of that.
  16. Shape of Despair, Monotony Fields -- a nice return to form after Illusions's Play (2004 album that followed the epic Shades of... and Angels of Distress) and Shape of Despair (2005 album). There's also Written in My Scars EP which I will have to check out, but it's not on their bandcamp. And apparently they have a first album/demo, Alone in the Mist. Doom Metal -- the slowest, most funereal doom metal. Spine-tinglingly great. EDIT: Oh, okay, it (Alone in the Mist) is by a previous incarnation, "Raven":
  17. Especially considering it wasn't that successful a movie. Was it? I mean, I saw it, but that doesn't mean a whole lot, I was seeing a movie a week back then. But I don't remember it generating a whole lot of discussion.
  18. I think that's all relative. My tolerance for cruft has seriously declined. I mean, besides, isn't it all about the signal to noise ratio?
  19. Cardiacs, Sing to God -- unholy carp, this is gloriously mental.
  20. Listen, chaff, blow elsewhere.
  21. Sounds like squeezing blood from a stone.
  22. Two Hobbit fangirls film their reaction to the newly released trailer for The Desolation of Smaug... Evangeline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, and Lee Pace film their reaction to the fangirls' reaction to a newly released trailer for The Desolation of Smaug... The two Hobbit fangirls film their reaction to Evangeline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, and Lee Pace's reaction to their reaction to the newly released trailer for The Desolation of Smaug..... http://imgur.com/gallery/Uw15B/comment/162795786 <-- "Hobbit-ception", obviously

  24. Why even post that? I think we all know that. I think his point was that if you believe in the manufacturer's aural vision , then the best way to achieve it might be to find the same source and amplification. The way you said it takes all the art out of it. Now I don't personally believe that all manufacturers of high end audio are artists, but I think at least several of them succeed.
