Manes, How the World Came to an End and Vilosophe -- I'm really digging these guys -- weird combination of hard rock (borderline metal at points -- like Anneke-era Gathering and recent Katatonia), trip hop, and indie/alternative
My sister posted the article associated with that picture (including a video), because she thought the whole idea of armor that's specifically designed to let the wearer move freely and easily was brilliant. And it is. I should also mention that's not cosplay -- she's an actual champion sword wielder.
I have No Doubt stuck in my head, now. ("Don't speak...")
I'm tempted to post this somewhere more serious, because there's a lotta awesome and a lotta truth, but, well, here ya go:
Outstanding, thought Laura Prepon's performance in particular was Emmy worthy. Set aside the fact that the relationship is between two women and set in jail, the whole roller coaster ride of a relationship was just a little too familiar. Was really disappointed that her appearance in season 2 will be much less.

It's like Edgar Wright did the sound effects. And at the other end of the spectrum:

"Wait, 40%? That's actually quite a lot."
Oh, c'mon, it wasn't that bad. I still can't stop thinking about her tongue. Second only to Gene Simmons...but a lot prettier than Gene Simmons...
EDIT: ...with the caveat that I'm single. And a pervert. And with the maturity of a 12-year-old (as I was reminded the other day). So YMMV.
EDIT #2: I figured out what all that tongue-lolling was about! And it had nothing to do with Gene Simmons. She was derpin'! Twerkin' and derpin'!
I have to wonder, though -- was the tongue-lolling choreographed? Were there exercises?
Also: Miley @ VMA's (learned of this after the fact) -- this is actually the cleaner of the two images I've seen:
@_@
I kind of like the fact that she's willing to get freaky, but it just contrasts so much with her image that I'm familiar with...also, I feel old.
Also: Um...
A Swarm of the Sun, Zenith -- quite good, ackshully, considering I stumbled upon it by mistake (was looking for an act named Zenith)
Genre: hard rock/metal
