I don't know. They both crossed the threshold of not erring in any particular fashion egregiously (by my criteria).

Entirely purposeful. My response to "is there a better idea for a music video?" -- "No." I mean, what a weird little movie to reinterpret, and yet they captured its essence quite well -- I can't even imagine trying to pick another quirky movie and condensing it to the length of a song and no more, and getting as much of it as they did.

If you're not seeing it, then there may well be something else wrong. I've blown a driver (in my case, a woofer in an ancient speaker) by playing too much bass through them. What happens is the coil warps. Not really anything can be done about it, other than replace the driver. I don't know how to verify this to be the case, though. The coils remain housed down to the degree of discombobulation described by Ari. The only other choice is that you accidentally pulled a Kinks on when removing the pads. Doubtful, though, you'd know. (I'm thinking of the images of The Kinks creating distortion by actually plunging knives into the surrounds of the drivers in their guitar cabinets.)

I didn't think the accelerometer was the same thing as the internal level.

AKW, again -- really great. They do the slip from intimate to big and majestic seemlessly.

I've seen in Settings->Wireless and Network->More Settings->Tethering, there's USB and Bluetooth tethering. Do you get those? (This is on a non-jailbroken Verizon phone, so yours may be different.)
