  1. Or you could start putting dents in your patients until they start complaining.
  2. ^^ Win. (Nice Fifth Element reference.) Rotational symmetry, point symmetry, or line symmetry? Argh, decisions decisions.
  3. Damnit, $50 is too rich for my blood. I should just take it.
  4. Yes, do this, Chrome is the better album.
  5. Found out that the Onkyo unit from Japan is not iPhone compatible, so I'm going the Cambridge Audio route, myself.
  6. Well, moot point, deal's over.
  7. Is this a good deal? SANS DIGITAL RAID 0/1/10/5/JBOD 5-Bay Data Storage Subsystem w/ 6Gb/s dual-port eSATA PCIe controller card (TR5M+B Black) for $140, $60 off.
  8. Sounds like an overhead problem -- you ought to try cutting all the other bands. And: mmmm...Royer.
  9. I bet it's like speed-reading -- you get the gist of it, and can't quite put your finger on what's missing. (thinks about slowing down some Beatles)
  10. Alternating bet'n: Nemesio reserve malbec -- wtf? This is...kinda awesome. Will have to revisit, I didn't expect to like it this much Bodegas Carrau Tannat de Reserva -- they had me at "earthy" Sent from mah Droid
  11. Yo dawg, I heard you like Apple OS's, so we put an Apple OS in your Apple OS so you could instant-on after booting...wait, what? I like the idea of a dual-boot configuration better.
  12. Agreed -- that would be my optimal configuration as well. But I have to ask -- which OS would you be wishing for, OSX or iOS?
  13. Last night I broke in my new crockpot -- used it for the first time. Garlic-marsala-chicken-EVOO. Came out a little chewy, but I think that's either operator error, or the fact that I used ancient chicken. Smelled and tasted great, though.
  14. I'm going to guess double, plus or minus $200. I'm thinking more likely minus, but only for the higher configurations -- I think the entry level 16/non-3G will be $999, and 16/3G will be $1199. I think the 32's and 64's will be $100 higher, similar to the extant pricing structure. So change that "double" to "$500 more expensive". Yes, I am pulling these numbers out of my ass. I've been wrong before. But I think demand for this screen resolution is going to be high, and it's still going to be expensive to manufacture until they manufacture a lot of them -- and I think they will -- so that's my guess. Early adopter prices.
  15. "Polished" is not a word I'd use.
  16. Okay, you're just retarded then, who in their right mind would prefer a phone that BSoD's to one that doesn't? Seriously.
  17. "Platform success"? Or marketing, sales, business management, capitalism success? I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but I don't think it's an indication of platform success. Market share -- numbers of phones -- and the ability to retain market share (I'd like to see that number) would both be better indicators of platform success. Now, I'm not either saying that Apple is a bad product -- I don't feel the need to badmouth the competition, like you do, Mr. Trash Talker. It's a good product. It's a very very good product. But it's also an expensive product. Let's not mince words. The have a very large overhead. I'm not going to compare them to Bose, because Bose is over-priced mediocre shit, whereas Apple is highly-priced good shit, but it's a similar strategy. And the converse of this, as you should know, is that expensive isn't necessarily better. Vetted better is better. Now, Apple is, indeed, vetted good. But better? Sorry, vetting still going on. Nothing you argue is talking to the power/price ratio, which I think Android wins handily. Even if you could legitimately say that Apple was better -- which you can't, repeating yourself doesn't count, it's Goebbel's Law of Propaganda, "if you repeat something enough times, it becomes true" -- it's not four times better, but it's four times more expensive.
  18. Moar Four (Allagash, that is)
  19. You know, if I run those posts through paulstretch, I get a normal drinking buddy.
  20. No, he's at getrealny. And: I am envy.
  21. Apple has the highest profit margin by far -- what kind of comparison is that?
  22. Pfff, beer. But still: LOL
  23. That's a beaut.
  24. I need to get back into oatmeal. Me: Chick Fil-A chargrilled chicken samich. Only because I didn't see that they had introduced spicy nuggets until after. Maybe I'll have those for dinner.
  25. Welcome back! It's exactly what it sounds like. Unless what it sounds like is "not good", because it was quite quaffable. Other than a pure Belgian, the most summery beer I've ever enjoyed. Gonna try the Victoria, myself, I've decided I really like Allagash.
