  1. I'm sure you can convert them: link.
  2. Me: Where are you getting all of these? Are you going for best price, or are you just happy to have them at all?
  3. This guy?
  4. You know, sometimes "whorey" is just what the doctor ordered.
  5. More Norton Bodega malbeca non-reserva -- you know, now that I know what to expect, I'm liking it more.
  6. When I went in the Apple store, they had a faster processor option in the smallest MBP than in either of the other two sizes. When does the Air come out? I think I'd be happy with the smallest MBP, but if you can't wait the 6 months, then I'd make a decision based on current knowledge. (I'd of course recommend you check out macrumours.)
  7. No, I thought it was just me. Very pagan-looking. I approve.
  8. No doubt...still had to try it to know for sure -- the difference in price was only a couple dolla. Sometimes "not as good" is still "acceptable". And this certainly is drinkable -- I'll finish the bottle. It's fruitier, so someone who likes fruitier may prefer it. It...just...me personally I won't get any more. On deck: the Privada.
  9. What she said. And Shelly -- I like that one a lot, too.
  10. A real corkscrew (rabbit-ears style from Screwpull). Got tired of fighting with the bottles.
  11. Super-geeky DIYers hold their soldering iron like a light saber and make whoosh-whoosh noises.
  12. Shit, I forgot that's today. Didn't stand in line. Will go see what I can still get.
  13. If it was elastic at all, is there a way you can just braid from one end to the other? Oh, and yes: very cool.
  14. Corrosion affects wire most at the connection -- I bet if you cleaned and put the jumpers back (that is, if they weren't broken), you would hear a difference. Sometimes you should do that -- just disconnect, clean, and reconnect. And that goes with RCA cables, too.
  15. Tried the Bodega Norton non-reserva last night -- meh, not as good.
  16. I'm a-ready for Halloween!
  17. Had the Norton Reserva malbec last night -- outstanding. Thanks for the rec, Shelly. I even had a second glass. Any opinions on the Privada or the regular variants?
  18. Or, because they know that if DSP is done right, it can be a solution, but then make the incorrect leap that if it is done in DSP, then it's done right, which, at least with commercially available solutions, isn't always (or even usually) the case. That said, I don't think it's fair to rule out DSP based on a few bad solutions, if good ones exist. I was just reading an article on all-band-pass filters that were designed to do exactly that -- correct phase.
  19. Why does it have to be for retail sale? I just told you that they'd do it, you just have to go into the retail store and ask for it. Here, go to your closest store and ask. Wait a minute, retail store...retail sale...that actually qualifies! It's obviously not something that everyone needs, so there's no need to advertise it. It doesn't behoove them to do so, there's no return on advertising small quantity stuff. But they will put together any combination you want. They'll even reterminate your dual Sennheiser 3-pin XLR's to RCA's if you want (which is why I know -- I was going to use a preamp as a headphone amp).
  20. Yeah, but that's more of an indication that ...uh... there's nothing special about Monster cables.
  21. Here's to hoping he keeps getting better. Plenty of liquids and plenty of rest. For both of you!
  22. This one? Let me know if it works, I have something else I want to try. EDIT: The first one, that is. EDIT #2: Never mind, it does.
  23. You may, please do, thanks, ...
