Well, there's already idisk support for iphone os. I can see it not being a big deal to extend it to other disk storage. I just read the tech specs page. It does allow regular bluetooth keyboard, the ipad case will act as a tilt stand, so you can use regular keyboard without the kbd dock. There's also a camera attachment kit that allows use of a card reader or camera.

I'm hoping it 1) lets me connect to network attached disk, and 2) use wireless keyboard and mouse. Either way, it's not a deal breaker.

I'm definitely getting 1. Probably the 32gb non-3g version, and then get one of those mifi style devices.

I'd be fine with it being an accessory with iphone style app store. And I'd love love love it if it uses the minidisplayport as an input to act as a 2nd display or small primary display with touch screen for other macs. So that's my prediction: tablet, touch screen, minidisplay port to be an accessory to other macs while running a variant on iphone os.
