I miss the days when I worked closely with sales guys. All that good food, free, and they appreciated good work. These days, I work for the gov't, and no one appreciates efficiency. So I mostly just hang out at home, play with my kids, and make sure my cluster stays up.

You'll probably either have to get used to it, or find a job outside the greater ny metro. And yah, sales guys don't work when they're in the office, in the office they're just catching up on paperwork.

If it's not in the picture, it's not there. I greatly prefer the clitmouse. Takes a little getting used to, but works really well...it's the only thing I miss on the macbook.

How would romex violate a fire code? As to other power cables sounding better, since the first 40 ft + of wire is romex, all you're gonna do with anything else is impede power, so you're solving the problem in the wrong place...

Given the size? It looks like it's 9cu ft. That's way bigger than most subs.

Getting to telecommute is easy. Just prove to them that you can get work done and aren't incompetent. Management likes seeing that people can be social, interact with their coworkers, and still get all their work done. The guy that is grumpy and hiding in the corner, and still doesn't manage to get things done, he's the one you jetison.

The R series is a monster. Huge, heavy, crappy battery. T or X. You can get an X with a 14" display, too.

Back off topic Firefly's pilot was bad, really bad. But the 2nd episode was ok. I'll give it a bit longer.

I'd be willing to bet that a single guy doing cd player mods isn't doing more engineering than meitner or dcs...but you're welcome to think otherwise.

We're obviously looking for something completely different when we listen to music. If I ever notice that one cymbal hit sounds the same or different from another, it means I'm distracted from the music, from the performance. When I listen to my HF1s, I forget I have headphones on, and get wrapped up in the experience. I've never had a problem with the imaging on the HF1s, and the musicality of them is what I like. With the RS1s, I am pulled out of the experience because of the inaccurate tone with some music. The PS1s were just worth more than I could justify holding onto them, so I sold them. RS1s cost me about what the HHF1s did (around $450), and I was much happier with the HHF1s, so I sold the RS1s. Others can have different opinions and it doesn't offend me at all.

I think depth of the wood, hardness, thickness all make a difference.
