Replacing a non-grounded outlet with a grounded outlet that isn't grounded is a potential fire hazard, and isn't to code. Not to mention if you don't cut off the right circuit before doing it, the life at risk is your own. You're really better off not replacing outlets just to be able to avoid a ground lift. If you're concerned about the power in the building, get a regenerating power conditioner.

Don't install grounded outlets unless you plan on grounding them.

I bet the labor involved in getting that coil perfect is a pain...I wonder what impact having a ground that's 3-4x longer than signal has on the sound...

Many mass produced cables are shielded. Most high end cables are not shielded. Zach's cables, for example, aren't shielded. Neither are headphile's. Or anything that's 2 wires under techflex, for that matter.

Looking at the photos, there's no way those are shielded. But why would you want shielded anyway? Almost no ICs are shielded.

Personally, I'd give up some details and soundstage to have more pleasing warm musicality. I guess not only would I, I did.

I've never seen a connector that wasn't made of either nickel, silver, gold, or rhodium. I've never seen copper used in a connector. Copper tarnishes, and would make an awful connector.

Given an unlimited budget, I wouldn't have sold my JPNs. They just fit the same niche as the VTGs, which I prefer. The JPNs are very good, tho.
