No, I’m lazy, just mortise and tenon. I have modern lag bolts.

I’ve been plugging away at it for a couple weeks, it’s deceptively a whole lot of more work than it looks. So far I’ve collected seven 55 gallon bags of wood chips making it. So far I’m happy with how it’s turning out even though I’ve made a couple mistakes here and there.

Finally at the point I can use the Roubo bench I’m making as a bench. Need to tweak the fit of the top a little and finishing building the vice leg and deadman.

Looks like oak. I would save it for something nicer than painted doors. Place it will take some work filling the grain. Get some paint grade maple or poplar?

It's magical, so of course it can.

Looking back I can see it as well now.

Doug has it. Figure I would add some French flair since it is a Roubo. Plus adding a trailer home or dead squirrel would have been to much work.

I somehow missed this thread, I'll start posting over here for my ping ponging/wood chipping. Made a dovetail. Not perfect, but it was my first try.

Thanks, I just whipped it up real quick to make sure I understood how Fusion was going to machine a complex surface, and it would do what I expected. Didn’t want to ruin a $400 chunk of walnut on my first go.

It was. Was more a test of making something with a lot of beveling and lofting to see how it would turn out.

Everything in F360. Since that part worked out I threw caution to the wind and did the top of the coffee table.

It is, I took elements of things I like and kind of put it together in my head. So far so good🤞

Yeah it allows you to do some some things that normally would be really difficult. Great thing is once it’s it’s all designed, it’s easily repeatable.

Working on my first ever coffee table. Have the base built, but not finished. Next up is making the top which is going to require me to learn Fusion 360. Top is going to be 2” thick in the middle with a radius on the bottom following the radius on the top of the base.

Plays a straight man very well.

So what is the big show we can go to meow?

I would also assume that floor has an aluminum oxide finish for what that’s worth.

I installed very similar floors in my Texas house. I kept a decent amount of extra boards in case there was ever an accident. Can’t really refinish that type of flooring, and will probably never get a perfect match. Even finding the same flooring probably won’t get an exact match due to wear and batch variances. Hopefully I’m wrong. if you have an extra board a good paint store can try and stain match if you are going to try to repair it Only wood I’ll do now is something that can be sanded and refinished.
