  1. At least you know where you stand.
  2. Tell us how it it. I am thinking about pulling the trigger on one. I just wish I could find an arm band for it that fits my arm.
  3. This ones easy. I can buy all the cheap gadgets I want. But money won't buy me...oh wait. Never mind.
  4. I'm in the process of formulating a plan right now for a complete TP DAC when all the goodies become available. I probably offer my services for building some in a similar fashion as I did for the B22s I built.
  5. Anyone here have a touch/iPhone they work out with? I have a first gen nano that is about at the end of it's life and am trying to decide what to get. Should I hold out and get a iPhone, or get a nano and a touch? Or just a touch or iPhone. I currently have Sprint as my service provider so it would mean switching services. I also am not sure if I would want to carry something as large as a iPhone in my pocket. Those that have one how do you find it to be size wise in your pockets?
  6. I was hoping for 64gb Touch. Oh well. Looks like I might have to get the 32gb for now. And maybe a Nano to replace my gen1.
  7. I plan on using it with a dedicated server so it should be much of an issue since the IP addresses will stay the same. Were you using the 0.5 version with the 2.0 iPod software or the older version?
  8. The way I understand it is that iPeng can control what music is sent to a receiver (like the Duet remote) and can also stream music to the iPod. If the receiver can be set up through either Squeezecenter or iPend one wouldn't need the Duet remote. That's $200 that can be spent on a iTouch or iPhone, both of which can do a whole lot more than the Duet remote. Looks like you can set it up without the Duet remote. SBR configuration tool - alpha testers required - Slim Devices : Community : Forums Looks like I am going to buy a iTouch and just a receiver. Hopefully the new 64mb iTouch will be out tomorrow.
  9. I figure a week to two weeks to get there and another two after that to get back here. I am going to see if they can just cross ship me a new one. I think that is the first piece of consumer electronics like that I have bought that has been DOA. Did a bit of googling and it seems others have had DOA receivers. Anyone try the touch/iphone ap for controlling their SB? Edit: If I can just control a receiver with Ipeng I might just purchase a receiver and Ipod touch. 64GB FTW.
  10. Just received my Squeezebox Duet that I have been waiting two weeks for. It appears the receiver is DOA. The light on the front doesn't light up. It appears everything on the powersupply side works fine. Guess I have to ship it all back and wait a month for a replacement
  11. To close to shore. I think it's Nessie
  12. Box each of: Partagas Series D No. 4 Rockey Patel Decade Torpedo I'm going to need a bigger humidor before too long
  13. Four words. Rocky. Mountain. Audio. Fest. Rocky Mountain Audiofest 2008 The best of the best and everything in between will be there. Plan on spending the weekend listening to everything. I would think after that you should have a good feeling for what you like. There are some pretty good stores in the Denver area. For Paradigm, I don't know about Denver but there is The Stereo Shop in the Springs. Dealt with them before and they are some pretty good guys.
  14. If you can get in on the feeding frenzy and have the ability or find someone to build it for you, I think the TP Buffalo would fit the bill nicely. Plus it could also be made balanced so you wouldn't have to upgrade in the future.
  15. Yes as long as the hooch is in a plastic container and less than three ounce. You can bring as many that can fit in a zip-lock bag. For the machine gun as long as it's in a locked container and checked. You could also try for the rectal cavity method but YRMV. On a side note when we fly over here and back we are all armed, most with a carbine and side arm. But they won't let us have knives. Go figure.
  16. I hope it was already split. I remember the one year my parents cheaped out and bought un-split logs. Nothing like spending the summer making large pieces of wood into smaller ones.
  17. Thanks for the offer Nate. I will give it a whirl with that parts I currently have sitting around and if I can't get it with-in the .1V I will drop you a PM. Edit: It's a Duet so it needs a 9v zener.
  18. Parts to make a σ11 power supply for my inbound Squeezebox.
  19. It sounds very good but do to the fact it's a truck, it will never be a two seat car. I much prefer to listen to music in my car than in my house. But then again I need to seriously upgrade my house set-up. Getting rid of all the resonance and vibrations definitely is a large part of getting it to sound good. Speaker placement also plays a large amount into it. Great speakers in a crappy location will sound like crap. You also need a good crossover/eq to fix things that placement/enclosure design can not. I think that's part of the reason I like it because it's a real challenge to get things right.
  20. Any one else here into car audio? This is a little install I did about two years ago. I plan to change it up a bit when I get back and maybe compete a little more. 2007 Tahoe install - MP3Car.com
