^^This. We used a Gator case with a TSA approved lock for Peter’s electric guitar when we flew out to Colorado to take him to Colorado State. Worked like a charm as long as they do not lose your checked luggage.

These guys have them and some are even HC level priced. Never tried any of these or ordered from them so can’t give any recommendation from personal experience.

I would much rather have snow over the nasty rain. I actually enjoyed shoveling the driveway. First time in at least seven years. Not sure how long the enjoyment will last.

They are a bit bulky. There are some other options also as reviewed HERE and other sites.I like the active models as they allow better hearing of ambient sound. Peltior are also good but tend to be a bit pricier.

If you are talking about hearing protection when you are shooting, I use Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Pro active shooting earmuffs. I have used a bunch of different models over the years and these are by far my favorites. They attenuate the blasts by about 30 db, but I can carry on a normal conversation at the same time without straining to hear. I have not found any earbud type systems that work for me as well as these.
