  1. A netbook should be able to do all of that unless you are doing a HD-video. The MBP may be overkill unless you are doing some significant number crunching with things like video editing and such. That being said there are those members of Team Massive Overkill that may disagree.
  2. I prefer Shakespeare myself, "And therefore as a stranger give it welcome. There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." An open mind is a great companion for healthy scepticism, and vice-versa.
  3. Have a Happy Birthday, eejit.
  4. OK that may be fair about WM 7 as I have not tried it. As far as Windows 7 , yes the useability is better compared to Vista for almost everything, but not for the touchscreen specific parts, which is what worries me about courier.
  5. Egad. First True Grit and now Five-0. Bastards.
  6. Only in the store. I'll keep my Touch thankyou. WM7 is a better interface, but not for a tablet/pad. I have it installed on my ASUS touchscreen and it is faster than Vista, but that is the only improvement I have noticed as far as useability.
  7. No Apple Fan-Boy here but I must say Microsoft is certainly consistent with their interface design.
  8. What do you need either the netbook or MBP to be able to do?
  9. I also noticed that there was an intermittent rattle and "fuzziness" to the sound. This led me to coclude that there was also a slight loss of detail in the treble and lack of extension in the bass. After reading this thread it appears that may be a byproduct of the drivers not being glued in. Nevertheless, the RS-60's were extremely close in presentation compared to the MS-Pro. I noticed no differences in the soundstaging or headstaging between the two and other than the above the tonality was almost identical. This was using a GS-X and an AA HPA v.1.0 and always single-ended as the MS-Pros are single-ended.
  10. ^^^ The Berkeley people invented Spam?
  11. FTFY
  12. The Happiest of Birthdays to you.
  13. meh. Book form factor = fail. Windows CE OS = fail. MS handwriting recognition = fail. No serious dedicated applications = mega Fail. And I am primarily a Windows OS user.
  14. Yep, 32gb min. here. That is what my touch has and I certainly do not want to have less than that on the iPad. Although many of my documents will be in the cloud, of necessity some of the larger ones will have to be stored locally on the iPad.
  15. See, now you're being honest.
  16. Yep, getting 3G. Since it can be done monthly that will work out for the times I may need it.
  17. Planning to do a lot of reading on HF?
  18. Have a Happy Birthday Sir.
  19. ^^^ Hmmm, the hovering does not appear to work for me, but then again I'm using IE.
  20. Great Pics guys. Favorite so far: Mayberry whisk(e)y buffet. P.S. My favorite would change if there was a picture of LinuxWorks being disemboweled.
  21. Dudette, I am referring to the SR-Omega. If I was referring to the SR-007 I would call it the O2 or Omega -2. And by that I mean the Mk I, as far as MkII, meh.
  22. ^This^2
  23. Those look to be in excellent shape. Nice find. Also congrats on the 404's Deepak. I have just listened to mine for the first time this weekend and I am very pleased.
