Ipod Touch / Iphone
I still use it some, but it has become somewhat redundant now that I have two controllers. It should get new life when the ipad arrives.

Glad there was no picture after they drew their tubes.

What did you do today?
Drove back home from Aiken, SC to Illinois. Yesterday was nice. We spent most of the day eating and drinking at the Aiken Steeplechase with friends. The weather was absolutely beautiful.

Nice. I really like the way the Bamboos look. Let me know what you think of their sound.

Actually if all the inputs are implemented properly I would think they should sound the same. Doesn't the PWD have a jitter elimination circuit thingy in there?

What did you do today?
Well, not yet but I am on my way to The Carolina BBQ for some honest-to-god real BBQ with hushpuppies.

When I was taking advanced molecular genetics in, Um, 1995, I was relatively old compared to my classmates. On the first exam I was the only one who could actually solve the problem involving a dihybrid cross. I actually value both depth and breadth in my students, trees always make more sense in the forest.

All good advice. Myself I generally try to gauge the depth of understanding as well as seeing if the student has an appreciation of how their subject fits in with the broader subject matter of the discipline. And x2 on the no BS.

- Godspeed Naaman!
Thanks Naaman, keep safe and keep sane. @Dan: Excellent idea.- Canjam 2010.
Sounds like a good plan. I don't think you'll have much trouble rounding up a willing crew. We will probably try to make a pilgrimage over to Three Floyds one evening also.- Apple Tablet
The Apple-Care should be fine, just save a copy of the receipt. At the time I convinced myself that the dock/keyboard would be more versatile but I'm no longer convinced. My projected uses already make it a no brainer and since I own a touch I pretty much already know how it will work.- Post the last thing you bought!
That is one Hawt piece of machinery.- Canjam 2010.
I will be up there from Wednesday onward. I will be glad to convey you. Since I will have the pick-up there is plenty of room for shovels in the back. Train Route would be Clinton Station (less than half mile from union station) to Rosemont via the Blue Line. Train station about 2 blocks from the hotel.- Canjam 2010.
CanJam'10 registration is now open. Therer is a link at HF that should be pretty easy to find. The form doesn't work well for our international brethern right now but it should be good to go for everyone else. Birgir found an easy way around the glitch if you just can't wait to register.- Apple Tablet
ipad 3g ships late April Keyboard/Dock ships 4/15 case ships/arrives 4/3 APP already here- What are you EATING right now?
Sounds like a good Thursday night outing to me. Premeet conditioning and all.- Amarra competitor?
Can certainly vouch for the ULN-2. Still getting used to it in my system. The set-up has a learning curve, but if you take the time to go over some of the set-up videos it is not that bad. I haven't even tried it in Firewire mode yet, just coaxial SPDIF. As far as the ULN-8 I cannot comment on sonics but it seems to me that if you are running multiple amps (i.e. dynamic, electrostatic and speaker) then you already have 6 of 8 channels spoken for n'est-ce pas ?- What did you do today?
Went to the Columbia zoo today with the little fitness. Had a great time. Then went to lunch at California Dreaming for a nice bowl of she-crab soup and a shrimp Po'Boy all washed down with an icy cold Sam Adams with a perfectly poured Guiness for dessert. All-in-all a great day.- DIY Ball Bearing Isolation
No apologies necessary on this end. I just wish I had a speaker isolation problem to tackle, but not for a few more years. - Godspeed Naaman!
