Well, I obviously broke the weak point, one of the feet snapped in half right between the adjustment mechanism and the actual feet. It may in fact be repairable with some strong glue, but I've had that thing for 5 years now and the padding is pretty much worn down. I may in fact repair it in case I need a spare for if/when I break my new one.

No doubt about that. If that happened, I'd probably have to quit music entirely, since the repair costs would be through the roof and it just wouldn't ever be the same.

Accidentally stepped on my shoulder rest and broke it. Bad day, yeah.

It does look way too smooth to be accurate, and cutting off at 500Hz is lame. Here are some real waterfall plots: The freq response graphs are kind of suspect, too (overly smooth, among other things).

Sure it will affect those, 6-10dB off from the bass/mids will do that. But how much it will effect those things remains to be heard. The waterfall plot they have posted is just a thumbnail with no link the big image, which I'd be curious to see. The back grille seems to be easy enough to unscrew and mess with damping, which will limit bass extension, but who the heck needs bass extension to 5Hz? And agreed about number 2).

Have you seen the frequency response graph? The bass extension is off the charts. The treble, on the other hand, needs some help.
