Do you know if this is a good step up in SQ compared to the Dual 505-2? I finally found something that sounds more like real life with this most basic of basic vinyl setups. I don't know why it took me so long to re-listen to my vinyl setup but I'm (sort of) glad I did.

It really does seem like almost everyone here either has a pair or is about to buy a pair. I almost succumbed to the sickness and was considering a JH5 but then realized I have absolutely no use for it.

For some reason I'm intimidated the hell out by music from Asia. Genre isn't the problem; I can do some old US hip hop like Notorious BIG and 2pac, and trip hop like Massive Attack. One of these days something will click in my mind and I'll start listening to this stuff, though.

I agree that it doesn't hurt, but right now I'm not really a believer, based on my personal experience. Also, I dislike how people group "classical" music into some kind of complex, serene, neural pathway building exercise. In fact, it contains some of the most dynamic, chaotic, arrhythmic, stress-inducing sounds one can conceive. Even some Mozart is quite exciting.
