  1. Nice feature set for the price. Nice box, too. Probably sell a few of those.
  2. Onion bhaji, lamb rogan josh, naan bread.
  3. Can't say it any better than this. Wishing you a continued catastrophe-free interval!
  4. Happy Birthday! Please to bear all shipping cost and customs duty levied upon conveyance of this greeting from my country to yours.
  5. Allegedly Napoleon's favorite tipple blah blah insert ad copy here. Increasingly hard to get here due to foreign demand from you fuckers. Really good! http://www.grailtrail.ndo.co.uk/Grails/wine.html
  6. Steak sarmie at the local. Mid-winter, 70 degrees at 5 pm, catching some evening sunshine on the patio overlooking the vineyards. PS: There were more chips!
  7. "I'm naughty. And it's nice!"
  8. This is going to sound like a suck up, but damn you're doing a great job with Inner Fidelity already, Tyll. I hope Source Interlink realize that, given their previous experience with audio blogging seems to mainly encompass Stephen Mejias sharing about his new Ikea record shelves and the odd little scale on the end of his cock.
  9. Lunch today: Roast pork knuckle with sauerkraut and dumplings and Paulaner hefe. Belly bombs away!
  10. Post House Penny Black. Another Cape blend.
  11. Moreson Magia 2006. Bordeaux(ish) blend. Cab, cab franc, merlot, malbec, petit verdot.
  12. Catching up on my Culture novels. Read Look To Windward and Matter on the plane, then Surface Detail last night when I couldn't sleep. Suffering a bit of Banks bloat.
  13. Who's writing their copy, Ray?
  14. Yes. But I've had it for, like, ages and the harmonicules are almost all used up.
  15. Getting USB DAC urges again. Some cool-looking stuff on the way. http://www.playbackdesigns.com/mpd3.html http://www.meitner.com/beta/index.html http://resonessencelabs.com/ (PS: That last one, no idea if they're blowing smoke or not about their unit, but that's a fucking user manual right there. At least 30 pages of measurements and various digressions on audio engineering theory and practice.)
  16. First hither, then thither. Say that after a day of drunk baking (or baked drinking, for that matter).
  17. I sat on planes for 22 hours between a 5-year old and a 6-year old and now know more or less how Cleverbot feels.
  18. Brewdog Punk IPA. Back to the land of adjunct lagers tomorrow. Oh well, I had more than my fair share of the good stuff in the last week.
  19. Founders Centennial IPA. I love this one. OK, four.
  20. La Chouffe. Maredsous. Gouden Carolus. Torbreck Pict. Schubert Goose Yard Block. Solid lunch! Now, open whisky or hit the sack?
  21. Saw that on Audiogon yesterday and bet myself $20 you'd buy it. Off to spend winnings on beer.
  22. La Fin Du Monde.
  23. Spent 22 hours on planes getting from Cape Town to Boston. Lot of time to have to entertain two kids, let me tell you. But yesterday evening I raided Julios craft beer section and today I get to see my dog for the first time in a year, so it was worth it!
  24. Bit naughty of them to make it look so French. Actually comes from Wellington, about an hour NorthEast of Cape Town. Nice spot. The distillers are quite a trip, too. Bought a bottle of their absinthe last time we passed through, but have yet to open it. http://www.jd7.co.za/
