Also check for body/lens focus accuracy. If either is back or front focusing you won't get sharp images. Do you sometimes get images that are in focus? Are you checking to make sure that something on the window isn't what the af is focusing on?
I've been trying to get the emotiva dac again but they are sold out. even of b and c stocks. they were essentially giving them away at emofest at the beginning of september.
I don't have any issues with used gear. I just mentioned new as the dac was originally $1000. They are probably offering the 50% off to make room for the new dac.
music direct is offering a new dl3 for $500. don't know how long they will have the 50% off for but is there anything available in that price range that competes sq wise? i think shelly is quite fond of it (vs the schitt and emotiva dac) but setting a hard limit at $500 is there anything else to be considered? there is a dealer demo also available for $450 which i will probably grab if i get a green light for the dl3.
I don't think there have ever been issues with just plugging it straight in to the phone. I ordered the speck case for iPhone 5 but don't think it will work. The customer service guy said to just return it if it didn't work. I would probably just give it to mom when she gets the new phone also if it doesn't work.
Are there any non bulky cases that fit the iPhone and allow the jh16 to be plugged in without an adapter? I have tried two so far but the plastic housing on the hp jack is too close to the phone when plugged in and the cases don't allow for that kinda clearance.
Mojo Pork shoulder from the crock pot with white basmati rice from our home in India. Bone just slid out. Might cook It less next time so it doesn't get so tender.
I guess I spoke too soon. First time I cooked it so didn't realize that the fat was separating from the meat easily. The meat itself is the perfect level of tenderness.
not a pro but i took a quick crack at it...if you have the raw file, i could play with white balance as well but with the jpeg you posted this is what i could do.
Lovely picture Nate. Reminds me of my hometown in India. It was up in the mountains but from the right spot and early enough you stick your head above the clouds or sometimes actually see fog roll down the mountain side or be really low to the ground like in your picture.
my dad and i ended up at home depot today. he went to look at the traeger with me and enjoys slow cooked non beef meats as well (he is a devout hindu). he reasoned that for us it just wasn't the right time to purchase it as neither him nor i are home enough to justify the purchase even if the stuff cooks/tastes better. we took your suggestion naaman (and steve) and after comparing it to the other offerings found the charbroil grill to be the sturdiest. we got the 2 burner one and I think the indirect contact with the flame works out well for me and there is the provision for adding wood chips for smoking which we also purchased. Hopefully going to try the grill tonight and see how it turns out. don't expect anything amazing the very first time as i am not familiar with the grill and how long it will take to cook stuff but any suggestions from those using it are welcome.
thanks for the help everyone.
