Wired everything up just because I'm an impatient twit. Even without the cabinets they sound pretty freaking nice. I thought the low sensitivity would have been an issue but I under estimated my listening distance and the amps power output. I can't go over 9 o clock without getting uncomfortable. The whole thing is starting to work out nicely

I seem to have some glue on the front panel of the speakers. I initially incorrectly thought it might have been some strange grain pattern but now I'm certain I didn't wipe away the glue correctly. It already has one layer of tung oil on it. Any ideas on how I could get rid of it? Some sort of organic solvent perhaps?

What Dinny said. If she is more comfortable with a pc, there are some ultra books that cost around the same and would let her stay in the windows environment.

It comes with some strings but I would have had to do the community service and work at the clinic anyways as part of graduation requirements so kinda works out well. I received an admit from Miami and LECOM but given the cost of attendance I was leaning towards LECOM which would have required moving and figuring out my own rotation sites etc. with nsu I can still do all my rotations at Jackson memorial hospital (which was the draw for Miami), stay 45 minutes away from Julie and at ~1/3 the cost of attendance of Miami. I'll graduate with a DO instead of an MD. Research opportunities are also available although not as many at nova but at both schools they are dependent on grades in the first two years so it equalizes out. Do vs md doesn't really bother me or make any difference to me. Nsu was far more understanding of my past and I felt desired there. Whereas at UM I was just an application number. I feel like I will be treated better at nsu. Hence the decision to matriculated there. With recent mergers in oct, MD residencies will be less of an issue for DO students as well.

Nsu offered me a half tuition scholarship. I just paid the $2000 admission deposit. I'll be a med school student in 8 months.

My microbio professor took cultures from his grandsons preschool. We were all scared to look at the cultures. Then we looked under the microscopes and vowed never to take our kids to preschools. Ever.

I did that with apple once - iPod I ordered never got to me. They passed on the case to FedEx. FedEx said they did their job. I got screwed over when apple decided it was my fault at the end when they fulfilled their contract by giving it to FedEx and FedEx did their job by getting it to my door. I filed a report with Bank of America and they refunded the entire $250 to me and then apple came after me with a collection agency. It was fucking annoying.

And that's exactly what I will do. Thank you Would a top coat of clear coat be necessary or would multiple coats of the ting oil be sufficient? Also any suggested brands of tung oil? The shop where I will assemble stuff has a circular sander. Would that be better than the steel wool?

Marc, I received it as a flatpack from Dave Dlugos in Canada as I have no means of making the precise rounded cuts necessary for the side baffles or the angled front baffle. I will be able to look at everything on Wednesday and let you know. I was hoping to go in with a plan so I am not wasting a day but I guess being patient will yield better results. I'll take pictures then.

dr wood or anyone else have suggestions on how to finish us murphy plywood? I haven't seen it in person yet - will see it on wednesday but I don't want to just paint it. I was thinking of either clear coat or a stain. would some type of oil be better? thoughts are welcome.

I thought about turning it down for a second. Then I realized that I was standing in a 10 million dollar house owned by two cardio thoracic surgeons who were just happy their son did well. I graciously accepted. Now I can buy some of Patrick's speaker cables with coconut shavings.

Was helping a kid with SAT prep for the past few months. I got invited over to find out what his score was. He ended up with a perfect score (800) on math - his last attempts were 340, 470. The parents were so happy they gave me a $1000 check to help pay the tuition for med school. Then we also went to 5 guys. Now I'm back to studying for finals next week. Twas a good day again

I have a lot of outflow of cash this month with med school deposit, speakers, amp coming in. Not sure if I can swing more money right now. Maybe christmas time there might be a sale on the routers from apple...Has that happened in the past or should I just try to find used ones? Refurbished ones are available from apple directly for ~$130-140.

I have a couple of finals on Tuesday. Will tackle this issue then. But if you guys have thoughts or suggestions I could try after I'm done please post them.
